Cute art and animations, and I could listen to that music all day. The game needs a difficulty curve, it's quite easy and stays that way.

Great! I think that I finished the difficulty among many other requests, when ratings end a fixed version will be uploaded

Great art and great music the mechanic off the game is good too but it need two more thinks. First the game need a score because now you cant see if you improved yourself. Second the game should get harder every kill because its way to easy.  And i found a bug when you click on performance to many times it dont change anymore. But great Job.

Thanks! Most of the things that people suggested was adding a score system + increasing difficulty. For the performance mode bug I havent noticed! Thanks for reporting it! :D

Cute little game. I like sprites style. This game needs more mechanics. I like noise effect!

The game has a unique concept, nice music and art, but the gameplay didn't really click for me. The game didn't really ramp up in difficulty so I'd never get hit unless i wanted to become stronger. Either way, it's a good game!

Thanks for your feedback, Maybe the actual spawn rate was the weakest point. And you are totally right. Difficulty gradually increasing would make the player use the buffing ability and be a much more fun experience. Thanks for your review! :D

I love the art

Pretty fun, you might want to do some changes to avoid the player not moving and just punching any enemy who comes nearby. And prevent enemies from spawing on you.

Developer (1 edit)

thanks for chacking out the game, this was my second game jam and i just had time to learn how to spawn enemies randomly, I should have dedicated more time in the enemy spawn and the rate (and even add a score system). So the player would be more engaged to use the damage / buff mechanic. Thanks for your honest feedback! :D

Things can get pretty crazy if you just let yourself take tons of hits. I took like 50 hits and when I clicked I would zoom around the entire map with a constant hurtbox for like a full 5 seconds. While that's pretty fun, it was kind of wasted on how easy the enemies are to beat without any buffs. I imagine most people who play this aren't going to even need the injury = buff mechanic since they'll probably just kill like 50 guys without getting hit and then quit out of boredom. If you made the enemies more difficult over time, people may be forced to interact with that mechanic more. The art is very nice (did you make it?) and the animations are very nice as well. Pretty nice game, thanks for making it!

Developer

I agree with you, the game may look fun at first and the player expects that the enemies will become more abundant or stronger over time so the buff mechanic makes sense. While programming I got very funky errors and decided to leave the spawn rate as it is. And people didnt played that long to get such crazy results. Thanks for playing my game and sharing your honest feedback :D !

Developer

Yes, I made all the visual assets and animated, I'm glad you liked them :D. (Sorry to answer you this late lol)

I don't really see how this game fits the theme but I love the art. also I would recommend using a bit more squash and stretch with the animation when you're using this art style.

Developer(+1)

Sorry for not being very specific how the teme fits (its in the description page). The main character gets a buff everytime gets damage (turns red as feedback) you can heal yourself and conserve the buffs. (What doesnt kill you makes you stronger). And thanks for the animation feedback, Ill make sure i will apply more animation principles to the characters :)
