Cool reversal of rules. I liked the sound effects. I think adding asteroids could have been interesting.
At least on the web build: When you die, go back to the main menu and then play again your score may say 0, but the next time you kill an enemy the score jumps to your previous + 1 (or maybe highscore + 1, hard to say as they will always be equal...) This obviously made the game less enjoyable than it would've been as you can't really fail to improve your score.
Now, on to the actual feedback: First off, I like how it looks and controls, though I do wish that I could just hold space rather than having to spam it. I also have a (weird) setup where I remapped some keys to my arrow keys because my laptop has those half up/down button keyboard designs. My browser reacts properly to it but your game does not for some reason. I'm guessing it is a unity bug?
The sound is pretty great, too bad there isn't music on the main menu. Would've loved to hear something of similar quality there :)
Interesting that score thing isn't supposed to happen.
I figured as much :)
I had a lot of fun playing this and thought your concept was clear after reading the menu. I would just suggest an in-game tutorial rather than something that has to be read. The shooting was pretty satisfying too, you did a great job with the sound design.
Visuals were simple but very appealing to look at, and there was a nice variety of sounds, but I felt like the concept of the game was slightly confusing, but still was fun.
Thanks every one for all your awesome feedback! It really helps me see what I can improve on in my next jam.
fun game, i liked it!
plz rate mine
I like the visuals and the gameplay is pretty good but I don't see how it fits the theme. Also I would recommend making the lasers bigger and giving the enemies different colored lasers then you. It becomes a bit confusing.
You've incorporated the topic really creatively, I'm really amazed by the idea! Graphics and sound are minimalistic but very consistent and pleasing. One of the better games I've played in this jam :)
This is pretty neat! I'm a big fan of the space aesthetic and effects :)
Good game. I struggle a bit to see the theme, but I still have to say that the game itself is very nicely implemented. Only thing I would change is to make movement a bit smoother and/or enemy hitboxes a bit bigger, as I feel like you tend to overshoot the enemies in the vertical axis, making it hard to hit them.
Good game I liked the images and sounds were beautiful
Nice game, particles and graphics were nice, gameplay felt smooth. a little hard to hit enemies, and a hold to shoot would be nice. but very nice game.
Love the moving background and the cool gameplay ! Really got the space theme down!
Very good take on the theme, I really dig those 8bit sounds and effect that make destroying airships very satisfying :D
Cool game, I like the visuals a lot. Sound design is also good!
Took me a while to realize the mechanic, but it's a clever one.
Well done!
OK, at first I didn't know what I was doing and then I read the instructions and I actually got a lot farther than I thought. The humor is a nice touch.
It's creative but it could use more polish.
I love the planet grafics and the space ships ;)
Nice game! I love the humor and the graphics are pretty good! Great Job!!!!
This is a fairly straight forward game. It is good at what it does. It handles very nice I never got the feeling it was not responsive. It was well made. Keep up the good work.
