You've made an awesome game especially for your first game jam. I'd say add some art, player feedback and spruce it up a little, and you're good for release :)
Thank you! It's been 5+ years since I coded anything and nothing close to this mostly just learning! I'm thinking about getting serious after this jam.
Enjoyed this! I really hope you take some time after this and add some sprites/animations and some nice lighting to the levels as the gameplay is really cool!
I had a small issue where I couldn't get enough gold to do anything but I killed everything. It has super fun mechanics and feels really nice to play! This would be a super fun little game to play in browser with some cool little sprites! :D
If I had time I would have coded a sequence to check the number of enemies so that the last like 5-10 always dropped enough gold but I ran out of time. Sorry about the error!
Definitely a good thing to work from if you continue with the game! Has some potential with more time than 48 hours
Great game, it feels very nice and fluid, I had fun playing it, I think that some sprites and maybe more weapons would turn this into a great game!
hm. not bad, but it could be better. Some things you can improve:
-The principal objective is get better and give it to the gray box, the gray box is a important thing, you could have done it more flashy to highlight more the objective.
-the enemies drop so much gold and make the game so easy.
-When the enemies hit me, i dont feel anything. You could improve that adding a knock to the player, or a sound or something to warn me that the enemy hit me.
but despite that it is fun to play, good job ^^
A nice little game with a simplistic art style! Wish I'd realised I could shoot sooner, though. :)
As others have mentioned the screen shake feels perfect! I really liked the enemy movement pattern, it was just erratic enough to keep you on your toes and feel satisfied when you hit them.
the game feels great to play and i think the lack of art adds charm to it at least haha

great feel to the game with using so little, I found it difficult but still good but then I found out about shooting! very nice

I am a good boy toy :D Core gameplay is solid - controls are great, screen shake on point, AI movements decent. Could use an upgrade on the art front, but that's classic game jam stuff :D Good job!
The combat system is really smooth and rewarding. Died a lot in level 2 but managed to finally beat it. Great job!
The shooting and sword play has a very nice game feel to it and it was fun to shoot into a crowd of enemies. It is good that you can play this game focusing on different play styles.

I did the first level not realising you could shoot and only slashed at the enemies and somehow made it through! Great job!
Liked it a lot! Very rewarding to kite and dodge the enemy projectiles!

Its your total life count! Really all it does is decide if you spawn in the level or at the start menu.
