My fav game of al submissions so far!! The immersion goes so hard! The music??? its incredible. huge fan of what you made!! Only suggestion would be increasing the hitbox of the cup as I tried adding milk 10 times before it worked lol but again, great game, great aesthetic.

Incredible art! The animations are very very smooth and I adore the artistic direction you went for!! Western style going hard. Unfortunately the controls made it difficult for me to enjoy the game, previous feedback you received touches on that issue well enough. With better controls I can absolutely see the game being successful. lil bug: the reloading straight up didnt work for me
Very great artistic concept, though I feel as though the boss rush aspect really drowned in this one! The controls felt a little sensitive but I love how you executed the spin theme in such a digestible game. Really great stuff, I hope you polish it further! Could make for a great mobile game! Lovely art and music, truly
I see you’ve received great feedback on how the pacing could be optimized. I adore the concept, am a big sci-fi fan myself so the lil rover stole my heart! The art is beautiful, though the gameplay is a little difficult for me! Tutorializing the game could really benefit the whole feel of the game. Cute music too! Great job on what you made
As a big fan of space and sci-fi content, I really enjoyed the narrative!! The mechanics worked well and I looooved the music. Even the death animation was eventful, both for bosses and for the player. Only suggestion would’ve been to incorporate more spinning into the mechanics. Great job on your game!
You can feel the love put into this game! I would’ve loved more story, as it does appear like a story narrative is taking place. Additionally, I never quite got to build up the meter entirely, meaning I couldn’t experience the spin feature at all! I adore the artistic direction you went for, great job!
Fun lil game! Definitely made with comedic intent and i love that! The gambling aspect is definitely strong though, seems to have quite abit of luck involved, which takes a specific type of player to enjoy. The boss rush aspect drowned a bit and for me there wasnt enough spinning, but I enjoyed the mechanics and music quite a lot! Great job
I felt that art was not prioritized for this game and that is alright. I was surprised by how well the mechanics worked, they felt really intuitive! Unfortunately I felt as though the attacks of the boss were playing at a different pace than the player’s, meaning the player charge up was much slower and it was difficult to hit the fast moving boss. I would suggest working on the camera as well, as it disoriented me a couple of times. Again, the mechanics were very lovely to work with and I can tell that whoever was working on the programming really cared about the playability! Slow paced game but with some fine tuning it has lots of potential, great job!!
I adore the story concept, though unfortunately I couldn’t tell if the attack did any damage on the boss! Did I miss something? Otherwise, the feeling wasn’t much of a carnival, therefore if you’d like to continue working on the game that would be my main suggestion: Environment art and tutorialization through action rather than words. Well done!
What a lovely game design! Being able to walk through the carnival to reach each boss felt really nostalgic, and its a great way of tutorializing your game! Unfortunately I kept falling into the bug of locking myself out of the arena by accident, making me need to replay the game, otherwise I didn’t find any other bugs, but it does take ages to load on web! I can’t comment on art and music as they aren’t yours, but I like the way you used the assets!
You received lots of constructive criticism on the mechanics already, therefore I will refrain from repeating any of it, simplification and tutorialization will do the game very well. Otherwise, as an artist, I adore the limited color palette you went for and how the player contrasts the enemies so clearly! Great animations and the UI has lots of potential. I can see it as a turn-based game tbh! Maybe not enough spinning for this jam. The UI seemed to be bugging or falsely positioned at times, just as a heads up. Great job!
What a creative take. First off: i LOVE the tutorialization. The writing isn’t overwhelming at all, everything feels digestible! The UI was mentioned by somebody else, it truly feels like..a little LSD trip in the best way possible. I adore the art and claymation, how in the world did you import that?? My god that must have been a hassle with the time crunch of the deadline. Really admirable work, I adore what you made! In connection to the jam i would have loved more spinning
Adore the concept of your game! Personally, I found the wheel stopping to be a little unpredictable, so indicating it more clearly would have me use it far better hahah! As an artist that is what I will comment on in most detail: I love that you incorporateed a sea theme, and I must say it was the clever title that made me want to play the game! The art is lovely, UI a bit old school in style but it fits the pirate game aesthetic! A little window listening the level of hit (from safe to critical hit) could be very useful, and maybe have more mercy on players by making the green parts easier to get to hahah! I must say I wasnt quite sure how to "attack" the bosses, per say, but I knew how to survive for...a couple of minutes. Really cool game concept, it could benefit from more tutorialization, but overall I hope that you are proud of what you accomplished! Great job!
Wow what unique mechanics! I agree with most all feedback which you have already received, mainly the health of the player and speed of movement. If you take your time to come up with a proper story for immersion and flesh out the mechanics, I can absolutely see this turn into a long-term project. Again, really unique, and the timeframe is crazy!! Great work, truly. P.S.: adding settings for volume would be a great addition heheh
Ahahah how cute!! Loved the intro and the UI would be ideal for a mobile game! As an enjoyer of turn based games I did understand the mechanics, though its clear that everything is still in the works. The score when i died was not accurate, maybe a preset text? I adore the concept! The boss designs could be made more powerful/interesting story-wise for immersion, and if you find the time to add morre hero characters I can absolutely see the game do great! Don’t let go of this project!!
Great game!! I must admit that I was not entirely able to understand the connection of the slot machine to the boss rush, but I adore the art and animation sooo much! The plot is lovely and environment top notch as well! I would adore if you made the tutorial less text based but more guide based, for example the wheel host pointing at what you have to click and explaining with a chatbox! Really cool atmosphere, a couple of cutscenes could do great as well!!
Great art! As an artist, that is usually the main thing I keep my eye on, and I like how you executed the idea! When talking about gameplay, the music didnt loop for me, unfortunately. And i shall give the very common advice of tutorialization, even if just through an entrance level with a dummy. A death screen would also be great, maybe multiple lives? But that is a purely subjective preference. Great work for that very short amount of time!
I clicked on the game because the art of it definitely caught my eye! It seems that in the web version, some radial attacks cause everything to lag significantly, which is so sad bcuz I would’ve loved to keep playing!! you absolutely incorporated spin into your game. I feel your game could benefit a ton from more story elements and tutorialization if you want to refine it in the future. Well done!
I don’t appreciate copying existing games for competitions, but I assume you chose to do that with comedic intent. It took me a bit to understand the boss fight as my brain was stuck in balatro mode, an association disadvantage for sure! With bigger boss designs, the card game/fight concept can absolutely carry potential
