How does you game fit the theme?
Mirages are not real!!! And they are popping up everywhere! But some may work to your benefit! Search the landscape and see what's in store!

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
A team of 6 people made all assets from scratch!

This is a very ambitious project for a week long game jam and it's impressive that you made everything from scratch! I got a bit confused that the water didn't replenish my thirst meter but when it ran out I couldn't really tell what was different. Still I had a fun time exploring the different biomes and structures hidden throughout the game. Amazing work!

Very dense environment really drives home the point that not all is as it seems.  Kinda bummed a pineapple man stole my sword and I couldn't find another one though.

Don't understand why people are saying the framerate is low. It is low but not as low as someone can't enjoy your game. Gave it a 5 star for everything would appreciate you if you do the same to my game :) it'd be a huge help.

Submitted

The framerate was super low as said before. However, the graphics are really nice.

was excited to play this until... suspense music......

The frames.... were very low

the thumbnail for the game was the best i have seen in brackeys game jam..

also the page for the game was nice with the gif animation

Hey!

First of all, great entry! Congrats on making the game!

I really like the visuals on this one, I think low poly graphics are really nice. The music is great and the controls are really nice.

If you are looking for some feedback, here's mine: I think you should make the game a little easier. The thirst was running low really fast. Maybe some more work on the theme would be great but other that that I think you all really did a great job! Making a 3D game in one week is not easy and you managed to pull it off, amazing!

Congrats to you!

I would love to have you playing mine too, if you don't mind of course! ^_^

Great game! Kind of hard to understand at first tho. The comments helped a lot!

I couldn't find out how to drink and somehow managed to lose my weapon in a little puddle haha.

I managed to stay alive for 2,5 minutes but I'll try again now that I read a few comments and know what to look for

looks stunning. I love the style. I would have liked a smoother induction though as I ran around swinging my sword then somehow lost my sword (I didn't press right mouse). Perhaps give the player 1 or 2 simple tasks before giving them free roaming of the environment.

Developer

The game will be updated in the future if youd like to come back :) I would like to add multiplayer

i have to say the models are great, and that they were made from scratch for this jam is even more impressive good job

I had high hopes for this game.  I could never find water to drink.  I still see the potential for nice game, I was just frustrated running around pointlessly for a couple minutes and then dying.  If one of the devs can help me understand how to replenish thirst I'd be willing to give it another try.

Developer

Hello my friend, we didnt get to test it as much as we wouldve liked. Unfortunately all of the things that spawn are very very hard to find. But if you look around. Random weapons spawn around the entire map every 1 minyte. And water canteens spawn around the map aswell. Close to pools of water!!!

A canteen fills thirst completely.

I found that the best strategy. Is to look around and find weapons. Drop all of your weapons in one area. Using right click. To keep them close by. And then go hunting. But don't pick up all food!! Leave food on the ground until you need it. While you are hunting you will find water.

Another strategy. Mirages spawn when you are below <50 water. Animals spawn with these mirages. If you keep yourself below 50 water and jist farm animals for meat for a while. Keep all meet on the ground while u then go look for water.

Enjoy! Sorry it couldn't be as polished as we would've liked!

Developer

doing this strategy I was able to last for over 20 minutes and it was quite fun. Pooling your objects in one area worked well.

Submitted

Thanks for your response. It was mainly finding water.  I'll have another crack at it soon and see if I can find those canteens!

Interesting idea for a survival game, and great art. But I could never get him to drink when I found water. Good work!

Developer

you must find various canteen drops around the map. Weapons and pickups are hard to find. But they are around!!

This was an interesting take on the theme. I like how unique it is. It still has a lot of polish required, but it is still good.

Developer

Thank you :D you're correct about the polishing. I am excited to work ok the game after the jam!

I think this is an interesting take on the theme. The world looks nice and the atmosphere is great. Good job!

Developer

Damn, you guys got a lot done if you made all the 3D assets from scratch!

Unfortunately the game ran really slow on my computer :(

Developer

Sorry to hear my friend. Personally I have not found the best way to render big scenes on Unity. Maybe next game!!
