I was initially interested in the story but the house is a little dark and I eventually got stuck looking around for what I was supposed to do next.

It was cute. I'll miss Jerry.

So I killed the baby but I'm not sure if the pills I took are supposed to be blue or seven fighter pilots in a row.

Very creative, good job :)

I couldn't find what I was supposed to do.

Unfortunately I can't play it. It looks like you got an out of bounds error, which if you don't know, essentially means that you're trying to access and array using an index < 0 or >= array length.

The concept was engaging as soon as I made progress!

One thing that was unclear at first: the first objective has you checking the backyard, but in truth I'm expected to go outside, then back in. Without an explicit objective, it wouldn't have been an issue, but I wandered around in the backyard for a while wondering what I was supposed to do there.

I was disappointed in a lack of payoff for who was in my house, but the ending twist was interesting. A polished version of this with the English fixed up would easily be a good game for Markiplier to play, if you're interested in the attention. Either way, super interesting concept and impressive execution for the time frame.

I got out!

I didn't meet the creature, but I found the angel :). I would have liked an extra mechanic or two, but good job finishing.

Our bad. If you're interested in trying it again:

wasd or arrows: movement
q : use item in hand (either unlock door or ring bell)
e : open and close doors
tab: switch between keys and bell
shift: run

If you get caught by a monster, you can mash q to escape.

Also, while 'restore checkpoint' doesn't work, it should still save your game. So, if you re-open the game, selecting 'load' will take you to the second level if you made it that far.

I felt that I had to review too many choices within a minute of the game starting. Also, maybe you could use colored symbols instead of numbers? Might be easier to read.

Of the art, I only brought in the fork, the hat, and the seed. The rest is made by hand. I wasn't really thinking much about lighting on the rocks, since I was just focusing on making a tilemap that didn't look awful. Overall, yeah, the art is super rushed and non-cohesive. That's mainly because I figured iterating on gameplay elements was more important than making a cohesive art style. The art process was pretty literally: start making it and only redo it if it looks awful. Originally, the setting was to be different per level, but no time ^.^,  so rocks.

There actually is a built-in reset. If you hit esc or start on a controller, it brings up a menu to restart the level or quit. I understand that in game jams, you don't assume normal controls stuff is true, so I get why you didn't find it.

Thanks for the input and letting us know about bugs :).

I don't think you need to split up your games, though you can totally do that if you want. I just think this one needed more time for tutorial. There seems to be enough polish and mechanic here for a full game, tbh.

This felt really polished. I really wanted to know a bit more about how it works, but I was still messing around in the game for a while, anyway.

This game was really fun to almost understand what I was doing, lol. I couldn't understand how to solve once the pink blocks were introduced, but I kept playing for a bit anyway.

That was pretty fun! I would have enjoyed more intense helicopter controls, but overall pretty neat.

I really wanted to play more, but the controls felt wonky. I got to the part where you climb up some stairs for a bit. I tried to make that jump across to other columns ~4 times and couldn't make it. I'm interested to see what other stuff you do, though.

Also, I found a neat bug where if you grab the person at the beginning, you can float up infinitely. That was actually pretty fun, too, lol.

Super cute. I felt like some spots were unreachable, and I would have wanted to play more otherwise.

The game overall was pretty cool. I did feel like it was a little easy to fall off, but once I learned to cope with that I enjoyed the game for a little bit.

It's a shame I couldn't figure out how to play. This game looks pretty neat.

The challenge was interesting enough for a little while :)

Yeah, actually the curse mechanic was neat. I thought was just going to die, so it was a pleasant surprise.

This was fun (and the death was shocking lol). Too steep a difficulty curve for me, but overall very nice.

I really liked the concept, execution was mostly really good. If there were one more mechanic, and the difficulty curve a little more shallow, it would be worthy of a bigger game.

It's weird we picked similar motifs. This was really charming. If there were some more management techniques and some risk/reward stuff, this could easily be fleshed out to a bigger game.

I feel like you did more with your minimalist bg than I did with my high-res sky. Neat game! I don't really like mashing buttons, but I didn't want to quit this one.

Thanks!

Yeah I got attached to a bad control scheme and didn't feel like changing it, pretty much.

Yeah, definitely that was the only thing I wasn't able to think of a good fix for in time.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the input.

Yeah you just tile the background all the way to outside of the level boundaries. You scoot the whole bg in one direction until it's about to run out, then you reset it.

The pull/push mechanic was confusing at first, because it doesn't work when you're too close to the rock, but after I got it was really neat. The platforming was very, very hard. But, it looked great and felt pretty original :)

This one was super charming. Loved the way it sounded and looked. I mastered it to where the difficulty was trivialized in ~10 mins, but until then I was pretty into it.

I loved the story motivations - definitely elevated it. Because of the procedural level generation, the difficulty spiked really high for me after the tutorial. I ran out of all of my points on just that one! Anyway, nice game :)
