Absolutely loved this game ngl. These short puzzle games are my favorite (obviously), you had my attention all the way through.

W intro and raycasting graphics

Love the procedural animation

Lack of dependencies

ATTENTION: Controls for the binary release are posted in the description now!

mods

it's under "more information" on the game's page

😭

every interaction in the game is with E.. I probably should've pointed that out

Love the mechanic like that one gmod mod

I wish the explosions sounds weren't so clipped, try making use of a distortion plugin or a bitcrusher.

It wouldn't been more aesthetically pleasing for slower movements and more fluent playing animations, but cool game nonetheless.

I liked the simplicity of it

Here's the shader code: https://github.com/durkisneer1/Subsea/blob/main/src/shaders.py

I liked the string physics and the short but challenging gameplay.

funny little doofus people (untitled)

Peaceful music, nice assetless game.

Cool physics sim

I see you.

Cool art and shader effect.

It could be a little easier to recover waterland for sure, cool game tho.

I wish the boats were drawings instead of rects and maybe some more enemy spawns.

W music W hihat work

I wish the coliisions were a little more linient with the spiky bacteria.

I liked the lighting system and the artstyle/music.

The physics could use slower calculations or even a higher delta time division (if applicable).

First run, I had a bug with the mana where I had 20+ and it said I had ran out. Second run I got stuck twice and the game crashed. Very innovative game tho, reminds me of pokemon but easier.

Could use sounds, but other than that it's an amazing game. Wish I could see the beaver surviving the thunderstorm though.

If someone drowns in your arms, you are unabled to pick people up anymore at all. Also, the left and right sides of the maps aren't bounded.

Entertaining story!

I wish the artillery was more accurate against the enemies and maybe a popup on the treasure for what button to press would be nice as well.

Yeah, it's more of a feature game for now. If I get motivation to, I'll add a real goal as an update after the game jam rating period.

good 3d and 2d transitions

I'll check this out. Someone else had this error message pop up.

Thanks! I grabbed the average of a windowed sample from a sound buffer array and used that value to increase the size of the image. You can check out the source code under "More information".

What's your discord user?

Build the game for whatever OS you prefer. However, rule 6 does state to link your github repo that contains your source code to your itch page upon submission.

Rule 3 states that this isn't allowed unless they are public domain, excluded from copyright law.

sounds like you experienced the original feel of the backrooms

all I'm missing is a jumpscare🤣
