Not gonna lie, the controls can be better. Found it real hard to control, and seeing that’s the main thing.

Submitted

Already struggled to get on the first rope and even as I did, the swinging did not work for me ;(

Developer

sad :(

Submitted

The game is good looking and the swinging is fairly responsive. The controls are a bit awkward though, I struggle to coordinate space, E and click at the same time just to do a swing. Maybe these could be simplified? Good game!

Developer

thanks :)

Submitted

Game has a pretty interesting concept, but it's very hard to swing on the ropes. It's still a nice game IMO.

Developer

thank you!

Submitted

the concept of the game is good i just think that the rope controls are a bit too hard to handle but yeah other than that gj

Developer

thank you!

Submitted

Innovative controls and puzzle design by requiring to grab the rope and get in the right height to swing :)
I wished you only had to press W to climb vines and

Developer

thanks

Submitted

interesting but the controls are hard. way to fast character and the ropes feel janky.

Developer

thanks and yeah they are a bit janky

Submitted

Nice style but controls are a bit hard for me

Developer

thanks!

Submitted

The rope is really fun when it works, but it can be a bit wonky at times.

Developer

yeah sadly

Submitted

Love the art style. But a control is a bit hard for me. It would be better if there reaction force to the rope

Developer

thank you!

Submitted

Art style is cute

Controls are a bit weird....

Should have just had w for climbing not just space and then immediately move AD  for a platform

The ESC menu the go home menu should be a different icon.

For the rope you should have included the fact you need to hold the mouse while in the air (did find something funny that when you reach the 3/4 rope if you swing to fast you can clip into the left wall, put spam clicking the mouse gets you free XD)

Music didn't play for me

If you end up having no momentum you have to click the mouse to go down again and its difficult to switch from one rope to another (should have have it so if nearby another rope pressing E just switches)

Developer

yeah changing the climbing button is a good idea, sadly we didn't have enough time to make the rope better, and for some reason the music and sound were lagging the game in the web build so we had to get rid of them right before the deadline. and thanks for playing!

yea not having enough time is the pain XD or having lost time due to scrapped stuff, performance, etc.

Developer

yep lol

Fun idea but the controls felt a bit awkward, especially with the ropes. Visuals were really nice tho :)

Developer

Thank you!

Submitted

Fun but a bit buggy, I got stuck in the wall.

Developer(+1)

glad you had fund and sorry about the bugs.

Submitted

I feel like there's a lot of depth to this climbing system and your existing mechanics are used well, great job!

Developer

thanks :)

Submitted

the controls with climbing and the rope mechanic were a bit frustrating at first but it was reqrding when i got to grips with it. i loved the parts using the rope mechanic in tandem with the cannons :)

Developer

thank you

Submitted

The game graphics are pretty cool. The rope is a bit frustrating tho.

Developer(+1)

thank you

You already know about the rope, one other constructive criticism i have is maybe bind the climbing and jumping to the same button. Probably climping would be a lot easier. But still, I see what you wanted with the rope, and it could be a great idea

Developer

do you mean not bind climbing and jumping to the same button?

Submitted

good ideas can be found even here, though their execution is lacking a lot of finesse.  the rope in particular is frustration made material.  still, finishing a game is a long and laborious endeavour, and a victory nonetheless.

Developer

yeah the rope is a little janky

Submitted

I suck at this game ha. Loved the art.

Developer

thank you

The controls are very finicky and really hard to get used to, and the swinging mechanic felt a bit off. If these were polished a bit more I think the game would feel a lot better! Try experimenting with game juice and game feel, adding extra effects and player feedback to actions goes a long way in making things feel good! Decent concept though :)

Developer

Thank you, we originally had sound in the game which would already have gone a long way for making the game feel more juicy but for some reason they were lagging out the web player a lot so we had to remove them right before the deadline. But adding some particles and screen shake would have been smart yeah.
