well then it's not a skill issue but a developer issue

Thanks for the feedback!

The cat stops moving because it tries to move towards the mouse but the wall stops it. This is a bug that I tried to fix but that caused more problems.

I'm currently working on an update and it will be here after the game jam!

Also, Godot go bRRRRRRR

Well for me the game was harder than I expected and when I saw the bounciness, I barely got to another level. Maybe making the game a little bit easier will make more players finishing the game and seeing the exit.

(1 edit)

did you get past it? (legit)

I've gotta ask - was this supposed to be a rage game? In the description, you have "Puzzle game", but I don't see, how this is a puzzle game, because there are no puzzles.

Thanks for playing! Yes, I made the sound effects as a last-minute touch, because a game with no sounds or music is boring. I didn't make the music in time, so that's probably the reason, why it sounds hilarious. I was thinking if I will add something like a photosensitive seizure warning or how to make the error effect without being too bright and flashy in the eyes, but in the end, this is the result... I think if there was something like a timer on the screen, you could be more ready for it and plan ahead, but that could also ruin the first impression of the game. I'm now working on a bugfixing update with more features and stuff and every piece of feedback is valuable to me. Thanks!

Great concept! Just wanna point out some things to potentially make the game better: if this would be the finished game, I suggest adding a photosensitive seizure warning at the start or even better: on the game's itch.io page. Also the physics are sometimes way too bouncy and hard to control. I got frustrated at the end, but tried to get to the exit at all cost. Otherwise, a cool idea, but it needs some tweakings.

Good game! Only issue I could find is the fact that if you press start on the main menu and then you press space to start, you'll get sent back to the title screeen. I was confused at first, but then I figured out that you need to place something on the grid and then you can start the fight. Otherwise, a fun game, love the art style, great sounds (really fitting), so overall, good job!

Ok now it works :) You should add some sort of indication, what you have to do at the start of the game. There should be a way to close the game, because I had to press Alt+F4 to get rid of it. I couldn't do it any other way, because the mouse cursor was stuck in the jail. Also, I didn't understand why the game had reversed text, but otherwise, a cool idea.

Hey, I don't know if it's working on my PC, but when I open the game, I get a window with reversed text and nothing is happening, only thing I noticed was the character looks at the cursor.

I'm sorry, but how can I play the game?

Thank you for feedback! The sound effects was a last-minute touch, because I realized that there should be more sounds and background music.

I'm now working on an update after the jam with better AI, graphics, tutorial, more levels etc., so if you're interested, stay tuned!

Thanks for your feedback! In the end I decided to make a better player following algorithm for the mouse and cat, so this problem will be gone with the update. For the harder difficulty, I wanted to just make the cat/mouse faster, but your idea seems more clever and fair at the same time! In the game it kinda looks weird to eat the mouse while the mouse is invincible, because there is no more point in eating it. With this idea, it looks more realistic and I like the fact that your play as a cat will affect the game later!

Good game! I like the art style a lot, the gameplay is easy to understand! Maybe if the zombies couldn't spawn when I'm clicking the buttons, the game would've been better, but still, good job!

Not a bad game! It's really short and quick, but it covers the gameplay! Maybe if the mouse was moving, it would've been longer and harder, but considering we had only 48 hours, I understand.

(also I made a similar game, you can check it out too (oh wait, nobody asked about my game, sorry))

I wasn't expecting much of this game, but now I wish to see more of this game later!

(also I found a bug - when you grab the Bozo with the down arrow and you put it at the start of the level, the Red Guy™ will glitch out and he is now stuck and can't move at all)

I'm sorry, but how can I run the game?

Cool idea! Love how the name "FunzyBunzy" is a reference to "BonziBuddy" :) The gameplay was pretty easy and simple to understand, so I'm glad I didn't need a tutorial. Overall, if the graphics were a little better and there were more things to steal, it would've been a good game, but that's just details. Great job!

Not a bad game! For me if was really hard to get somewhere at the start, but I got better quickly and then it was pretty straight forward. Maybe if you would have more time you could add more levels, tutorial, more enemies and mechanics, title screen or audio, but considering that we had only 48 hours, it's really good!

me cant get past the frst spike!!!11!1!1!!! help

(OK, now I can get back to regular English)

I have to ask: Is the first spike intentionally impossible, or is that just a "me" issue?

Cool game! I actually had the same idea, but then I changed it later. I know that it's a really small detail, but if the text on the tutorial (or anywhere else) was black, the players could read it more easily. Otherwise, good job!

Thanks! I think that I had a pretty good idea in my head and then executed it in the worst ways possible... Anyways, I'm working on a fix and it will be here after the jam!

Thanks for playing! This was my first game jam ever and I'm working on a fixing update that will be released after the jam! I will probably add some tweakings for the score system, because the game is too easy. Also, congrats for making it into the game  (^v^)

Thanks, I understand that the controlling isn't as fast as I originally wanted to be, but I'm working on a fix and it will be here after the jam!

If I didn't start with the ending "You died of stress", I would have a better feeling about myself :) Great game, could add more things to do other than clicking "Accept" or "Decline", but we've all had only 2 days, so I understand :)

This is a really clever idea! Every mechanic was explained really well and every time a new mechanic was introduced I was like "Wait a minute, you can pause the game and still move the tutorial? That's so cool!" I had to use my brain, which is a thing that I usually don't like, but in this game it was really fun to play, good job!

Really cool idea! You could add some indication where the players will spawn, but even without that it is a damn great game!

Really creative way to see platformers! When I opened the game, I was confused at first, but after I figured out how to play the game, it was more and more fun! The fact that you made this in Scratch is mindblowing, wish there was more, but even this is a good start. Good job!

Now this is what I enjoy the most about games and you did it perfectly! The game is hard, but you enjoy the game anyways! It's really polished and the sounds are amazing too! I have nothing to criticize, really good job!

Thanks, I agree that the controls are unresponsive and I will fix it after the jam.

Thanks! I'm already planning more updates after the jam, but the old version of the jam will always be there for comparison.

English: I never thought of this idea, but it's really creative! Only issue is that it gets really repetitive after 3 or more moves. Otherwise, good job!

Español: Nunca pensé en esta idea, ¡pero es realmente creativa! El único problema es que realmente se repite después de 3 o más turnos. De lo contrario, ¡buen trabajo!

Interesting idea for a game! Only thing I would change is the speed of the game, because everything just moves really slow (maybe it's just on my computer that slow, but I would still change it).

Thanks a lot, I had a lot of fun making the sounds for the game!

Hmm... May I ask which version of the game did you download? At the moment I can only help you by saying that the .exe and .pck files must be in the same folder and with the same name.

I'm happy to hear that my game isn't as bad as I thought it would be! I agree that the controls should be more responsive and I will try to fix it after the jam will be over. Thanks for the feedback though!

Cool idea! It took me a while to understand how the mechanics work, but even without the tutorial, the game looks and plays nice!

Good game! If you would have more time, you could already release it somewhere! Only issue I find is the "moving in place" mechanic, because you can literally stand still and the priests will come and save you. Otherwise, great job!

Hey Sabe! Thanks for testing my game! I had planned adding more sounds and music but I was running out of time so it was very rushed. Maybe I will remove them in the finished game, who knows. Thanks again for the opinion though!
