The concept is simple but it was executed very well! I like the color scheme and the music, and the "game feel" when you hit the ghosts. Good job!

Man I am in love with the art of this game. It looks very nice and could totally be the final art in a full-release game! The music is also cool and very fitting. I liked the mechanic and it feels very polished, although for me it could be a bit more challenging. It seems that shapeshifters and possession of objects are a common theme in this jam - my team's game also features one (although with a different approach) so it's super fun to see other people's take on this :) Great job!
Love this game! The concept is super funny and even funnier is the 50s setting with music and art. The way you absolutely destroy the house to do simple tasks had me laughing. Difficulty curve is very steep though. I found it challenging but fun in the first couple levels, but I couldn't for the life of me get my keys in the (I think) fourth level. It's a fun challenge though, I'd have to brainstorm a lot to think of how to keep it challenging while easing the difficulty curve a bit. Maybe tweaking the suggested trajectory dots? Regardless, a very good entry, great job!
Thanks so much! It was very helpful to watch you playtest on stream, and we're happy you had fun! We took yours and other people's feedback to update the itch page of the game with a more detailed tutorial. After the jam we plan to update the in-game tutorial too :)
(also Jiri is precious and we're glad you liked it too lol <3)
We were very happy to read this comment! We wanted to make the game intuitive for everyone, especially people who had never heard of Truco, but at the same time we wanted to get this 'aha' feeling when figuring out Jiri's abilities. We're thinking of a way to update the in-game tutorial to better achieve that. Glad you enjoyed it! :)
All of us in the team were super happy with your comment! We're glad you liked the art/music and cultural aspects :) and as we talked in the discord, we took yours and other folks' feedback to update the page with a tutorial on the game. Hope that helps but we always appreciate more feedback and can help if you have questions.
I had fun!! I feel like this could totally be expanded to a very addicting gameplay loop, maybe a dungeon crawler-type game where you have to take Doug to a specific spot and get there by possessing/eliminating the soldiers? Side note: I think I got a bug at some point where doug started moving on his own and possessing soldiers wasn't working. Regardless, good job!
Urumi being an orange cat is so fitting LOL. Fun and creative game, congrats on it being your first! You did a great job. If I could give any suggestions, I thought it was a bit difficult to eat the powerups with F while pressing A/D and holding the mouse. maybe another key or mouse button could work better.
This has the potential to become a very addicting game! The art and sound effects give it a very nice, crunchy game feel. For now I think by just spamming skeletons I can get to the end without thinking much, so I would like to see the strategy and progression aspects being expanded in future versions. Also, when my time ran out the game just froze for me - is that expected? I'm playing on google chrome on a mac.
As a fan of visual novels in this style, I had a good time playing this! The character portraits look super good.
As a side note: when confronting Dennis, if you present the correct item first, then the wrong item second, the game lets you retry, but instead of resuming right before presenting the second item, it expects me to present the first one again, to then attempt presenting the correct second evidence. It's a minor thing, but was a bit cumbersome to have to do the first step again. Regardless, good job on the game! Would love to play an expanded version :)
