This is so clever and interesting.  I love the part where you have to deliberately take damage to progress (my submission is all about that).  A little more clarity on what is UI and what isn't would be nice, especially at the start.  Great puzzles; awesome job.

Thank you for the feedback 😀! I'm planning to change so that all UI elements will have the same yellow outline as the hp-bar. Hopefully, that will make it clearer what is considered UI in the game.

Yeah, I was thinking that would be a great way to do it.

I couldn't get past the first level after grabbing the hearts, there doesn't seem anything else I can grab? I really like the concept though!

Developer (1 edit)

Hello, I'm sorry that the first level is confusing. You are not supposed to use the hp-bar in that level. The gif in the first screenshot shows the problem's solution (i will attach the gif here as well). I would appreciate it if you would consider giving the game another try as it gets a lot more interesting further on!

Great game! Creative concept, well executed, cool puzzle! I think it was super cool to modify the the UI through, getting hurt. Just great all around well done!

I loved this, really elegant and awesome puzzle game! When I figured out how can you make a certain UI element smaller, I was impressed. The levels were challenging enough for a gamejam game and the art style was nice and clean as well. Great job!

This concept is awesome ! Good job !

This is such a great game! I never got stuck too long on a puzzle and it was fun to play, extra impressive because game jam! I hope this game gets expanded on, even if it's a post-jam version with a few more levels and some bug patches, it would be great!

Also Godot gang!

few very obvious bugs drag down the presentation

Developer

This feedback is not very useful. Could you clarify which obvious bugs you are talking about (I might not be aware of these obvious bugs) and how do they drag down the presentation?

Submitted(+1)

dropping something on a moving object causes it to freak out, and moving things along the top is a bitt off causing 1 level to be a bit harder then needed

Submitted(+1)

This is a great concept and the levels are pretty smart. I only wish there were more haha.

Awesome and very original puzzle game!

Hi IamNOTaCAT!

This is an incredibly unique game! I don't want to spoil anything for those that haven't played, because I think it is a genuinely fun and unique experience. Well done! I can't think of much feedback to provide other than I hope you take that ingenuity and bring it in to your future games!

Best,

Brandon from TheIndieDream

Really cool concept. I would love to see this expanded on in the future!

<Spoiler Alert for those who haven't played yet>

I love this game. This is one of the best games I've  played in this jam. The puzzles were interesting. I loved how you needed to damage yourself to get through the level.  The puzzles took just the right time to figure out, and I got a wonderful AHA moment every time. The game is highly polished and the graphics perfectly suited the game. I just wish there were more levels. Maybe after the jam make more levels.  I liked this one a lot.  Excellent work.

Thank you for playing and commenting.

I haven't decided yet if I will extend the game after the jam. I will have to remove some spaghetti from the code first 😁.

Very interesting idea. Got stuck on a few puzzles but eventually figured out the solution.

Submitted(+1)

I loved that and I wish there was more!

Submitted(+1)

Really good puzzles, not too easy, not insanely hard. Just the right amount of difficult to give an AHA! moment.

Just a really good game. Design is super clean, puzzles are very interesting, and the mechanic is great! Only feedback is to have a starter level that introduces the concept a bit more simply.

Glad you liked the game, and thanks for the feedback!

I think hiding the hp-bar in the first level would solve the issue you had.

Thank you for playing my game. It was nice watching you stream!

Thanks for submitting and watching. Your game was a lot of fun.

This was awesome! Really clever level design and a cool concept in general. Getting hurt to modify the size of the UI element was great. One of my favorite games from the jam so far.

Submitted(+1)

I had fun playing this game, very original and good puzzles!

This was so super clever, very satisfying to play and very creative design. Great levels. Really nicely done!

It's hard to make UI good, so to be able to make a game to play with UI elements is very impressive!

Submitted(+1)

Damn, this was good! Some wicked level design in there, congrats!
