I think I figured out the gameplay! I think a description of the controls and objective somewhere would help future players. Once I figured out how to place and maneuver the blocks, I made it pretty far before dying. Congrats on submitting on time :D

Great job with the theme! Surprisingly I haven't seen many games where you change the size of obstacles. A lot change the size of the player character. Well gone :)

Great gameplay design and mechanics

The audio "peckish" totally got me. It was so surprising and funny. This was a very entertaining puzzle game! Had me wanting to replay levels to see if I could 100% them.

I dig this. Very satisfying watching the enemies shrink down! But stressful once you're pea-sized haha. Well done.

Wow thank you for the in-depth review! We were absolutely aware of some of your suggestions and had them on our to-do list (like idle animations) but had to prioritize other objectives before the end of the jam.

I know I was personally unsure about the collision mechanic with your trail of friends. But I believe our game designers wanted to keep that in as an added challenge mechanic. Like the game of Snake where you don't want to eat your own tail or something haha.

The Z-ordering was my Achille's heel.  This is my second Jam and first time where I actually opened Unity as "just the artist", so it was a learning curve messing around with stuff. I only got my fingers on the environment, so I didn't even notice the issue with the characters!

If we ever continue to develop this game though, I'm keeping your feedback at the top of the list. Thank you so much for playing!

Oh no! Well maybe not being able to 100% will just keep people playing to try and win haha.

Holy moly is this addictive! Five stars all around from me. I'm going to return to this game and keep trying! Best I got so far was a 91%. (I thought I could cheat at one point by making a really big square to cover the hole but I got 0% T uT)
I also really appreciate the SFX and lack of music. I think a constant track would have made the game less peaceful. Plus then hearing the SFX was that much more satisfying.
Great job!

Yeeeah. I would have loved to have the trees and some environment have weight so the player couldn't pass through. Would have made for good obstacles! But couldn't make time for it.
The forest critters are friendly! Only the wolf will attack :D

This was fun! There was something satisfying about picking the right cards and watching the scale tip. I just had to keep playing to see the design of different characters! Enjoyed it very much. I found it fun to find another game that uses animal characters as well. (But yours are much cooler. Mine are just cute little guys haha)

Funky music, satisfying SFX. Smooth gameplay! And the little robot reminds me of EEEEVAAA from Wall-E!

The thumbnail drew me in! So spooky.

Couldn't have said it better myself

Very entertaining! Well done making it in time for the jam. Best of luck to you!

Great game! Very entertaining! Made it to the end and I ran around using up all 99 shrink and grows haha.

It can be tricky! It's so interesting being on the development side of things. You play the game over and over to test it, so the controls feel super easy. That's why play testers are so important!  Haha
Thanks for playing!

I needed this. It was relaxing (even when a larger creature was on my tail). I liked the fluid movements of the fish.

Makes me wonder what my cats are up to right now... I hope they don't have a slingshot!

So glad you enjoyed! Thank you for playing!

Love you mentioned Don't Starve!  I took a lot of inspiration from Cult of the Lamb and Don't Starve in terms of art direction. Good eye!

Truly a hero <3
I think drawing the wolf was my favorite part. And you don't even see half the art! Haha. Here's some behind the scenes!

Thank you! (He's awfully hungry. Maybe he needs a snack? *wink wink left click wink*)

It's like Indiana Jones meets Candy Land! This is a well polished jam game.

I really like the style of this. I love narrative games and games that use real-world images.

Couldn't help dancing to the music. The SFX are fun too (the slurping haha). Good job!

Thank you! Even the big bad wolf? He's the goodest boy. (But inherently evil haha)

Artist to artist, your illustrator is ambitious and did a great job! I know how hard it is to commit to a detail art-style, and they really nailed it. Well done!

Cute little game! I had a lot of fun spamming the ball to go as fast as I could!

I saw updates of this in the Discord server! Good job finishing your game!
The art style is very compelling and I enjoy the concept as well! Fun take on the theme. I made a few bad verdicts and had to go back and see where I messed up. Well done!

Thank you for playing! I'll definitely check out your game after I get home from work

Great idea with the shadow!! Very fun angle.
For some reason the shadow doesn't appear for me when starting the game. Happened a few times when I restarted. But I still enjoyed the game

This was the first game I played after the 96 hour submission deadline and it really helped calm my heart rate.
Art is beautiful with a pleasing color palette. Music is lovely and relaxing. SFX are satisfying and not too sharp. Gameplay is overall satisfying and smooth.
Well done!

Thank you for playing!

Our programmer, Dan Miller (dsmiller95), is very proud of his AI. I believe he spent a majority of the Game Jam weekend on it!

This was a fun and engaging puzzle game to me! I thought the simplistic graphics were wonderfully done. I loved the colors and art-style very much. Some of the levels definitely took me a few tries.

The little potato character reminded me of a Korok from Zelda and the hand had me thinking of Master Hand from Smash Bros. I just had to get the re-imagining on "paper".

Enjoy!

Enjoyed this very much! It felt like I was solving a puzzle each time, and it was very satisfying to guess them correct.

Aw thanks! I'm glad you like it! I had a lot of fun drawing it haha.
If y'all have time as well, we'd love you to take a peak at our game "Disconnect" and share your thoughts.
Appreciate it!

I'm sooo curious what the character was based off of. A racoon? Hamster? Chinchilla? Either way, I thought it was super cute and wanted to make a little doodle. Loved the game play as well!

Enjoyed the game! The boss was unexpected and more challenging then I expected, but luckily I, Bompurr, pulled through. It would be fun to see a fleshed out game with this concept where you as the creature have to train your trainer as you work as a team!
Also, I love cats and will look for any excuse to draw them. You design was such a cute little goober with its big eyes that I took a stab at it in my own style!

Wow!! Wonderful game. Challenging and open for creative problem solving! I love how open the level designs are to multiple solutions.

I definitely had the same sentiment. The first round, like UNO usually goes, dragged on. So it was both realistic and frustrating! I almost didn't realize there was more complexity to the game before I checked the comments. Going back for a second try for sure.
