Cool game! The art is really good as well as the sound effects. I personally think that the fireball attack is too overpowered, as it doesn't have any cooldown. I never figured out how to use the knight.

Cool game even though I had to get used to the shooting controls. The U shoots from the inside but thrusts on the opposite direction. Great job!

Good action platformer game. I liked the projectile deflection mechanic but I think that enemies have too much HP and the combat sometimes feels slow. Also, if you increase player jumping power and movement speed a little bit, the game controls would feel better. Good job!

I agree, originally I planned 3 types of basic enemies before the boss appears, but I had to cut corners due to time constraints. A tip for defeating a boss enemy is to attack its right wing with continuous fire while the enemy is moving to the right (or to the left if you attack the left wing) rather than attacking the cockpit. Cool concept of turning everyone into zombies to join your army that fits perfectly to the theme. The game was fun but it has some movement and animation glitches. It would be great for the game feel if sound effects for the zombies and the victims were added.

Good concept but the invisible walls on the forest can be confusing. A spooky atmosphere was successfully achieved.

Yep, you got me, that's a bug, you are not supposed to be able to evade the bosses. What is supposed to happen is that when any boss ship reaches the lower limit of the screen, you get game over. I can't upload the fix until voting has finished. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for your advice! I would like to release a better post-jam version of the game after the voting and ratings for the submissions have officially ended. The game needs some balancing and polishing.

It's a .zip file that need to be extracted because is a game jam submission that requires that the source is also included, but there is an executable file. Extract the .zip then open the Windows folder and click Astral Renegades.exe

Good game but I have a suggestion. You can put a new building type that the player could buy like a clock tower or something that accelerates resource gathering.

Liked the art this game! This game has great potential as a metroidvania if combat mechanics are added. Good jumping parkour but beginners in the platforming genre might be overwhelmed by this.

Cool game concept! Challenging difficulty.

Yeah, there are bugs with the colliders and jumping physics and sometimes the shooting animation breaks when shooting while jumping. I underestimated the scope of this game, as 10 days were not enough to finish even 50% of this game. This is my first game jam ever even though I have done various tutorial games before. I would like to release a post-jam version of this game in the near future that improves playability, more emphasis to the story, better art and music and more maps and bosses.  I will consider your game controls suggestion so people can play with one hand. Thanks for your advice.

Awesome puzzle game! Great effort considering that this is a 3D game developed in just 10 days. Is there a way to manually rotate the camera in your game?
