Controls work well and sfx work well, it was enjoyable for a short playtime. Could have done something more dynamic with the link between the two unicorns as right now the 2nd one will never experience consequences the 1st one doesn't, but good job putting this together!
you essentially scraped off the theme, just making it two characters, that was a poor choice, the gameplay loop is also very simple, but it's fairly fun.
A simple and fun sidescroller runner with some fun visuals! Over all it was fun!
For some feedback, I think you could do some work on the hitboxes of the player and the obstacles. Sometimes I would die without colliding and other times I would collide and not die.
Also it could be neat to make the second character playable as well!
This was fun! I definitely got into it for a bit. I really like the background and the bright colors you used, and the music fit the game well. What would have also been pretty cool given the main mechanic of your game, would be to have the Unicorn as two people dressed as a Unicorn (so there would be a person in the back and front) so that they would literally be connected, but it worked just fine the way you made it. Could definitely see a more polished version of this being a mobile game!
Good couple of minutes fun - I like the unicorns!
Nice little runner.
What I like :
- Animation
- Music
What can be improved :
- Controls : both unicorns do not jump at the same time.
- Not sure it always possible to avoid obstacle.
- Perhaps some way to control the gap between them, it will add some control.
Hope it helps.
Cool artsyle
Funny artstyle but not too sure how this is on the connection theme
Nice work on the animation! Although this is a classic runner game, there are many ways it could divert from the norm. This could be couch coop with the 2nd unicorn being controlled by the arrows keys and both players have to survive together.
Unicorn for the win !!!!!
Quite a simple game, fairly playable - I didn't understand the point of the second unicorn, till I realised that the two are connected so I guess it's there purely for the theme. The unicorn itself is very cute and I like the animation too - can guarantee my daughters would love it!
Nice little game. Good job.
Was a basic runner game. Fun absolutely! Innovative not likely. However, it is a playable game and a fun game.
Some feedback:
Good job and good luck!
While simple everything felt very smooth and easy to control and understand
Very enjoyable, even if not all that innovative
A runner game is always fun, simple, and generally pretty addictive, and you did a good job with making that!
A couple of things though. There's nothing wrong with having differing art styles in the same game, but in this case, everything ended up clashing a little. What I mean is that the rocks looked kind of 3D while the unicorn looked 2D, the rainbow in the background was hyper realistic while behind some cartoony mountains. Again, nothing wrong with mixing styles, but there was a lot going on here.
The main thing is the connection to the theme. I know the second unicorn is connected to you - it follows your actions after you do them - but to be honest, it doesn't really accomplish much. If the second unicorn wasn't there, you'd play the game the exact same way, you know? I don't have to do anything to prevent the second unicorn from dying except pay attention to the first one. I ended up kind of forgetting the second unicorn was there as a result. I don't think it's a bad idea, but it needed a little more to really bring it home.
Overall, great work!
Simple and addictive. I get 30 coins.
Good effort! Thanks for trying:)
Played it. Don't get what the second unicorn is for.
It has a "connection" to the first one :)
