got them all let's go
This game is an hidden gem, it speaks for itself, go try it out
Hi, sorry to bother with another "game not indexed" thread, but as the title says, my game !WASD is not indexed even if I uploaded it around a whole month ago, I modified the page several times to make it better as the documentation says but it didn't seem help, and I also modified the name thinking the exclamation mark may have caused some problems, but I'm pretty sure it's not the case since I found another game with an exclamation mark in its title that is already indexed. Other than that, I also can not seem to find my account name with the general seach, I'm not sure if I'm restricted, I got something wrong or the game is just stuck on the queue, so I would like to know it if possible.
Ok this game instantly became my favourite out of all the ones I've played. It's just so impressive and aberrated, I would love to know how you made some of the effects. I also admire the PS1 style you went for, it adds a layer of unexpected and mysterious, probably because low poly style makes for a very abstract representation of things, leaving it all for your own thought. Finally the audio reverb is the cherry on top. 10/10, underrated as fuck.
The pixel art is pretty cool, but the color palette sometimes makes it hard to know where to go next, especially at the final chase (that I couldn't finish for this). Also the gameplay feels a bit wrong, especially the dash that feels far too inconsistent, and I suggest adding jump buffer and coyote time next time.
10/10 - Vergil simulator
Jokes aside It's a very fun little game! It's easy to learn and hard to master, with a unique gameplay and a nice learning curve. I would suggest to zoom a bit since everything looks way too small, adding a way to know when the attack cooldown is over and of course more vfx. Also how does the game fit with the theme? Is it with its unusual way of killing enemies?
Btw I played on a 1080p monitor and I think I had no problems.
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Also congrats on being (as far as I know) the fastest one to complete it! Also I'm happy to hear that you liked the color and music change, that are of course, aberrations. I even had weirder ideas but sadly I didn't have enough time for them. And btw you were lucky in the last level, having the left/right buttons close is like a blessing compared to what it could be lol.
Nice and original idea, I like how you blended the deck building mechanic with the combat, well done. The only problem the game are the controls since they change based on the cards and the current world, sometimes is really unintuitive and had me spam in the keyboard in the hope I pressed the right button.
Thanks for playing! The diagonal dash "bug" is something i've seen several times throughout testing the game in different keyboard and from feedback from different people, I'm not sure if it is what I think it is, but in doubt you can check at the end of the game page where I added a little warning about "keyboard ghosting"
I thought of a normal, usual part of a game that I could change, and I came up with controls since they're basically a standard. Changing controls is also a pretty unwelcome change because it requires you to re learn how to play a game from zero, and as if it wasn't enough, a common and intuitive control scheme is something pretty expected in any game. I also added a sudden change of colors, sounds and music to further fit the theme of aberration. Lastly I made sure that you don't quite understand it when you download the game, unless you really look closely at the "controls" part of the game page where there's a question mark to tell you that maybe it's not actually like that.
Ok this game is peak: simple to learn but hard to master gameplay, top tier music and good looking pixel art style, well done.
Lastly I would suggets to keep the player slowing down for a moment if they've just shot the charged attack AND they're still holding the charging button, since sometimes I got used to the slow speed and after releasing the charge button I got launched right in front of the enemy.
It's a bit too slow, and on top of that, I didn't understand the socket system and how to properly aim, it felt like it was shooting randomly, but I liked how the entities turn grey as their health decreases. Anyways it's your first godot game, so keep up with it and you'll eventually make this out :D
Thanks for playing my game! I'm glad you felt the character controller and the graphics satisfying (at least with normal controls lol) but I'm sorry you found the levels frustrating, I honestly don't know how to make it feel less frustrating (except for the hotboxes, I'll definitely make them smaller), probably because at the end it's just a byproduct of changing something we're all so used to, it becomes frustrating to get used to it again and again, I just had to do it in order to make something aberrant. I'm also pretty sure some people will find this all more interesting.
This is a genius idea, doom but you spawn the monsters, it can surely be imporved since there are only 3 levels and 4 monsters but it's already very great, also I love the 90s aesthetic the whole game has both in terms of visual and audio, you just need to remove the smoothing in the lower camera :D
P.S: Trappers are a bit op, you can beat the game with just them
