Neat little game, the only big criticism I have is that you could have made it so dying also restarts the level
Thanks for the feedback.
I hate platform games and I especially hate jumping in platform games. But.... you made it bearable by allowing R to restart the level immediately if missed a jump and for not making death be a "back to the beginning" thing.
I have never been happier to see some checkered flags tho!
Oh and thank you for using very sensible default controls. I love it when I don't have to read any instructions to play a game!
First GWJ entry? Well done!
Thanks for your comments. I really wanted people to be able to play through the game quickly with minimal frustration. So it's good to hear feedback like this.
nice little platformer and funny choice of a main character :-)
i dunno if i've missed something, but once the jump pads are gone, i had to start all over again when i missed a jump.
Thanks! If you play again, you can press R to reset a level :)
Nice platformer, I really liked bouncing on the tcells! Simple and to the point. :D
Thanks!
Hey nice job! I agree the movement needed a bit more polish, but understandably that's not always an option in a jam. I think you did a good job increasing the complexity of puzzles as the levels went on, and was fun bouncing up the stairway of white blood cells! Great work, hope to see you in the next jam!
Thanks!
Cool game! Very nice visual style and music, too. Good fun from start to finish, nice job!
Thanks!
I liked the art, and the idea is pretty interesting. However, the movement seemed a bit slippery. Other than that, well done.
Thanks for playin!
Nice gameplay, the graphics are really cool. A tapeworm with legs surely is something creepy.
You did good for a first time game jam entry!
Thanks for the nice comments!
Congrats on your first GWJ entry! It was a great one. Quite gross and quite fun. The controls were really nice, and the art made me laugh. The end screen was particularly funny. Great job!
Thanks!
Nice game! Unique tileset and I liked how it was used throughout. I actually thought the controls could use work, but I'm also not great at platforming games.
I did find that there is an infinite jump, and then I tried to beat the levels without destroying the cells.
Great job on your first game jam submission! Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks for the feedback. Nice catch on that infinite jump. I'm pretty sure I introduced that trying to fix another bug. Had no idea I'd created a new problem haha.
Fun game with satisfying and responsive controls - could totally see this being a great speedrun game :)
Thank you!
Control felt great! Enjoyed the bounce off of the cells and how you used them in your level design.
Thanks. Glad you liked it!
Very solid platformer, buttons and controls felt pretty responsive to me as well. It could be one of those games I kinda zone out to
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Nice! The level design and the music compliment each other well. The game definitely has a vibe to it :)
Thank you!
Solid Platformer.
Thanks!
Really nice level design ! The mechanic is simple but well used, well done !
Thank you!
Great art and level design, I never thought being a tapeworm could be so much fun!
Thanks. It was a lot of fun to work on.
Certainly one of the more unique tile maps I've seen in a game! I can tell you put a lot of love and effort into this. Congrats on your first Godot Wild jam. :)
Thanks! It was a lot of work and a lot of fun to work on.
