Paid games or games with donations

I can't guarantee I'll be able to fund every game that gets posted.

But I was wondering if anyone had a paid game or a game which accepts donations that they want me to check out?

Maybe I'll donate to one or two.

Thanks.

What type of games do you enjoy playing?

Action games, platforming games and Visual Novels.

I don't have any of those - but I do have a few arcade-type games. For example, Pizzantropia

Thanks.

I gave it a purchase.

Will give it a try later.

Thank you!

It's your money and you know how you want to spend it, but I personally think you should spend your money on games of a genre that you'll enjoy playing or because you want to support the developer.

If I'm interested in you trying out my game, then at the very least I should offer you a free copy and not expect you to buy it. So I have a hard time understanding your premise and I feel bad about recommending a game of mine to you for the same reason.

I understand how you feel.

I guess my premise is just "It can be tough out there. So if you have a paid game you want me to check out... possibly buy... here's an avenue to show me."

Do you like short puzzle games with physics ?

Sounds cool!

I'd be willing to give it a look.

It's name is Zookaa Fruits and if you want to give it a try, take a look here : https://dimeao.itch.io/zookaafruits (it's free)

Feel free to give me feedback about it ! Thanks a lot for your time

Maybe Feyna's Quest or A Dream of Burning Sand?  (Both plot-driven platformers, paid with a free demo.)

All my projects have donation options, but I think this is the one I put the most effort in; it’s a tic toe toe in different tiling: https://dachshundstudios.itch.io/tile-xs-os

With about 80% of the code and assets AI generated, I "created" a quick arcade-style game inspired by the minigame Shark Hunter inside the Stern Pinball Jaws that is playable in the browser. The game is called PGM Sea Hunter. No donations for it, but if you played the game it's based on in an arcade, it would cost you the price of one play (typically 75 cents to $1+ in our area, anyway). My version of this minigame is here: PGM Sea Hunter by todd_russell (itch.io)  Your feedback is welcome and encouraged :)

My game was from a game jam for the Olympics this year called Olygame Jam. Its free to play and donations are also acceptable. Mostly play with friends but you can play alone if you like. It has 3 game modes

I have a free platformer if you want to try it out

Hi TheMetalCarrotDev, thanks for your kind thoughts and support. I have an action game for you: it has a free demo (the first level) so you can test it before eventually buying. Don't feel compelled to buy, unless you really like the game. Have a nice day!

Very thoughtful, TheMetalCarrotDev.

Check out StoneChess. Practically all of it is available in the demo now.

Thank you. :)

I am currently running a Sale with a visible Goal on my game: https://itch.io/s/122957/whole-summer-sale

I always wondered how some games can earn up to multiple thousands here on Itch with their visible goal. My 10.82$ is literally my current high score.

You sound like someone who donates often. So feel free to share what makes you want to donate and what not.

I saw in another comment you said you like platforming and visual novels. "There's just something about u" is a platformer where you traverse the text messages between "u" and "i" as their relationship unfolds...

Previously Randy & Manilla on their alpha & beta demos was a game of "donate as you want", now that it's in early access, and also was surpass over the gigabyte in memory, I decided to opt for it as a paid game.

Hello! I recently released a demo for my metroidvania, it has some platforming elements but the focus is mainly on combat, so if that sounds interesting to you so can check it out here ! (It's pay-what-you-want btw)
