I loved that you can walk on the font! XD But it was way too hard for me, you are jumping so fast that you basically have no time to react or adjust at all!

Developer

I'm not too familiar with platformers, so I have much tweaking to do. Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Very nice way to implement the theme, the platforms are very hard but soft check points helped a lot to make it more enjoyable, great entry!

Developer

Thanks, really appreciate it!

Cute game, but super difficult! Maybe I don't have the right coordination for it, but I had some trouble using the up arrow as jump (I couldn't tell if it was dropping the input or I wasn't pressing it at the right time).

Cute character, I love the little light bulb guy!! The pink platforms were too difficult for me. I knew what I had to do, but I don't think I'm dexterous enough to do it. Great Jam!!

Thanks! Really appreciate the kind words!

Cool idea for a game, I liked it!

I am stuck here:

I made it past the annoying red see part, got the high jumping blue power, made it up here, and now what?

Anyway, my feedback is

1. This game could definitely benefit from coyote time

2. It takes a little too long to respawn after you've fallen off the screen!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I did that 'stuck'-part on purpose so people could remember how the platform you're on looks like.

Since your light-color is pure black, you don't see anything. You have to remember what way you went to the 'See" sign and get through the door you came in from. See it as a small memory-game.

I'll most likely half the fall-time and take a look into implementing coyote-time.

I'm stuck there too! I would need a way to get a hint, I can't remember relative position of platforms from before I died.

I really enjoyed this protoype, it takes a bit of "practice and error" to complete some challenges, of which i am not a big fan,  but anyway I recognize that in the simplicity of explaining too little, there is beauty. And as "NobbyJazz Studios" said, I enjoyed the creative way the game started!

Lastly, I don't want to leave without telling you that I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope that you can complete the grieving process withut much hiccup. I hope you did well in the finals too!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it. Means a lot to me.

Glad to see people noticed it. A priority was to start it with a literal bang ;)

I like what you were doing with this, it a neat idea, and I really love how the game starts. That was so creative! I got stuck on the second level. I think it is a little difficult to understand why things happen. So for example, I didn't understand why standing on the green platforms let me see the red, or why I sometimes jumped high with the blue. I think if you make sections demonstrating each color on its own before putting them together it will make it much easier to understand, but it has a lot of potential! :)

Developer

Thanks for feedback!

I'll have to tinker a bit with the amount of light each light-level produces. I intitially wanted to link the amount of HP you have to the amount of light you produce. In the first level you can see that the next platform is visible thanks to an HP/light-upgrade-battery.
I'm a big fan of not explaining stuff with words & symbols, people should be able to figure stuff out by happy little accidents. I tried my best to explain that illuminating a certain color while standing on a platform of the same color does something with this theory(?).

The problem is, that if I give the player too much light, too much will be visible. Maybe a small battery-UI that gives the color would do wonders.

Anyway, inner monologue aside: thanks for playing! Really means a lot to me!
