How does your game represent Mode?
Your gun has two modes, red and blue. Neither is useful on its own. But together, they explode.

I really loved it! The second to last level was starting to get frustrating, but just enough to keep me motivated, and omg it felt so good once I figured it out, and then collecting all those orbs was the perfect reward for sticking through it <3

Really really fun, I think my favorite part of the game was the sense of humor during the written segments, and how the tutorial is introduced. I liked switching between modes and I think it worked really well with the theme!

Interesting game, I like how you incorporated the theme with the puzzle mechanic

Submitted(+2)

Cool use of the theme! I had fun with this one. Great job!

Nice use of sound to make the game have nice feedback. The puzzles didn't feel too obtuse either. Well done!

Thanks!

Probably my favourite entry i've played so far. I'm not great at puzzles, so i thought the difficulty was balanced really well, fun to complete and kept me wanting to see the next board. The explosion sound effects were really satisfying, too.

Thanks!

Really great use of theme! Very fun!

Really liked this one. Had a fun time figuring out some puzzles here and there. Also, the sound and graphics just made it feel good to move around, very charming tbh

Thank you!

Cool idea, just needs some polishing, like easier level restarts and id rather be able to shoot the other color with the right mouse.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for trying it!

I collected 1200 orbs before I gave up. I thought about pushing it to 10k/10k to see if it overlapped the rest of the UI text but there's like 500 entries in this jam and I wanna try some other ones lol. Had fun with this one though, well done! Really solid entry

Developer(+3)

Oh man! You almost got to the big secret! No, I'm just kidding, the text layout probably would have just broken like you expected. :)

Thanks for playing it!

Fun entry, great job.

Thanks!

My favourite entry so far. Really like the style, fun simple original mechanic with great level design.

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much!

Cool game, but would have been more convenient to just have a separate button for shooting blue and red

Developer(+2)

Yeah, I definitely understand that. I initially made it a toggle because I felt that reinforced the "mode" theme better. And later I discovered that I needed a little delay when switching modes to prevent the player from completely spamming through some situations. That would have been even more awkward with separate buttons. I think, anyway.

Really Cool! I loved the explosions and animations. The player is a bit hard to control since the jumps are very small but other than that I thought the presentation was really good.

Developer(+2)

Thanks for checking it out!

Fun! Played the whole way through and it was very engaging.  Good pacing and work with building upon concepts.  I also really liked the sfx, very satisfying.  Excellent work!

Developer(+2)

Thank you!

Awesome and very well fleshed out execution of a super simple concept. I like the combination of traditional puzzle logic with precision aiming, it’s unique. Great game.

Thanks!

Really well executed! I loved the sound design, made the game feel so cool. The puzzles were fun to solve.

Developer(+2)

Thanks a bunch!

Submitted(+3)

That was fantastic! Only thing that could make it better is if it had music :P

Developer(+2)

Thanks!

FWIW, I made a few starts at music, but always I decided that it was cluttering up the the already pretty full soundscape. I think I would need to do a pretty drastic EQ pass through the sound effects to make room for any music. But the sounds were working together so well that I didn't want to compromise them!

Submitted(+3)

Haha makes sense. Your end product is still really amazing even without music! :D

Submitted(+3)

Great work! Love the concept and really enjoyed the game play revolving around it. Lovely puzzle game, nice work!

Developer(+2)

Thanks!

This is the kind of games i love playing during gamejams. Just a nice simple concept that plays really well followed up with some challenging puzzles and levels to explore the mechanics. Great job! :)

Thank you!

Great concept that's executed really well. I had a lot of fun with the puzzles - I'd love to see it expanded! As mentioned by others, I also enjoyed the sound design.

The main frustration was the length of time it took to change between modes - I'd personally look to shorten that if possible.

Great job!

Developer(+2)

Thanks!

The delay prevents just spamming through some situations. But I definitely agree that it is a little annoying sometimes. It's a tradeoff and I may have gotten it wrong.
