My neighbors also have a cat factory but instead of cool tanks all I get is cats eating out of my garbage. I love this type of game and you did a great job. The progression is a little fast and misses some of that satisfaction that comes with waiting a little for upgrades. Despite that I really like the upgrade options and had fun

Developer

Gotta keep the neighbor cats fed :D  Yeah, I wish I had time to spread out the upgrade and pace of battle a bit.  Will definitely improve on the overall flow if I work on this further.

 Thanks for playing :3

Love the theme and feels so polished for a game jam. Also wish it was a bit harder but had fun!

Developer

yeah, definitely wish I had more time to add more challenge, additional levels, or a bit more balance work. Overall happy with how it came out though.

Thanks for playing :3

Cat theme should be ilegal. There's no chance of a cat themed game to be bad.

Congrats for the whole presentation, well mixed art and sound design. The game is solid and well built, just wished it was a bit more harder to reach the peak.

Developer

Thanks for playing :3 yeah, wish I had time to add more content and balance

I managed to get into a bit of a zen state just watching the numbers go up and clicking buttons to make more numbers go up! A time tested formula that just can't go wrong :) nice job

Developer

Hah yeah, there was so fun about just taking a moment to see the factory churning along.

Thanks for playing!

Very enjoyable going from barely managing to hold my own factory to being able to just start rolling through the other factories.

I noticed that gold was accumulating outside of the front of the factory with no clear indication about when it would raise the total gold that I had. Besides that issue though, gameplay was very fluid and relatively intuitive for a strategy game.

Developer

Thanks for playing :3 I would've liked to have time for popup text, but you gain gold by defeating enemies of enemy spawners. I mentioned that in one's if the tutorial pages, but it was super dense to begin with.

Fun little game, great art! Never been much of a fan of strategy games, I just can't be bothered to read and keep all the info in my head, but this was a fun game anyway. Good job!

Developer

Yeah, there's a lot going on :3 Glad you liked the art. Thanks for playing!

Amazing Game! The art and music were great and I love the tycoon/tower defense feel. I only wish there were a few more upgrades since at a certain point I was just waiting for my troops to win, but other than that this game was really good!

Developer(+1)

yeah, I had some pretty neat systems, but really envisioned a much larger battle :D given more time, I'd definitely expand on the battle, or add more stages.

Thanks for playing!

Cool Idea! Very intuitive to play because of the tooltips.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!  I had added them a bit last minute, I felt it helped readability quite a bit.

Cool game, could see it being lots of fun with more levels/etc. I would also personally like a moveable camera instead of the toggle, just me though.

Developer

Yeah, really wish I had more time for a better camera system. Thanks for playing!

This was great! I love games with this kind of progression. The camera transition between the factory and the field was well done. The music was super fun despite the clipping/audio artifacts.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, music needed a bit more time to iron out the issues.

very satisCATtory. love the art and the upgrade flow

Developer

Thanks :D Had to really grind to get that art out.

Really cool game, but I had to play without audio because it was very glitchy.

(also ignore the fact that I accidentaly sent like 4 comments because itch.io was bugging)

Developer(+1)

hey, thanks for playing. Yeah, hopefully can have an update fixing the sound file.

It was pretty satisfying to upgrade you factory to max and see the army go forth

Developer

Go forth, my kittens!

Cool idea for a game, I was pretty excited to give it a try, but 2 glaring issues

1) The audio is broken, its really clippy and hurts my ears alot

2) the tutorial is basically walls of text, I didnt really get what to be doing, having a tiny level where it could hold your hand for each step giving a direct example would make the transition into understanding the full scope would help alot

Otherwise good job (:

Developer

hey, thanks for playing!

Agreed on audio, not sure what happened. Something was up with the file and didn't have time to get back to it.

Tutorial scene would've been nice to have, but was very strapped for time, as I made it in 4 days.
