How does your game represent "Power"?
You have the power to possess NPC characters and traverse your way through the lab. Being outside of a body for too long drains your power and you die.

Nice little atmospheric drone and the graphics are pretty cool. One time a dead guy slided all around the ground, which made me jump a bit...I like a good bug jumpscare :D

I've always been a sucker for possession as a mechanic for puzzle games. Even with the run button I would say the default move speed is a little on the slow side, but the actual puzzle mechanics all blend together super well and most of the AI seems to work as intended. Some of the later puzzles get really intense, and the requirement to possess and the fact that repossession can kill an NPC really adds to the sense of urgency and thinking on your feet.

Very well done :)

Thanks so much for the feedback and for trying out the game. I could tune the run speed a little higher; I will likely have to as I continue the project and the levels grow larger. Right now it's tuned to keep the smaller levels difficult. Best of luck in the jam!

This is a great concept with a fair amount of polish - especially considering the development window. I would like to see more variety in the sound design, but I think you have a very solid foundation!

Developer

Definitely agree on the sound design. I'll have some updates to the project once the rating periods have ended for the jams I submitted to. Thanks for playing and best of luck in the jam!

Such a cool game! I was surprised by how many levels there were and how subtly each mechanic was taught and expanded upon, it made each level feel meaningful and intuitive. It's a very good and well-polished game. Awesome job!

Developer

Thanks for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed it and good luck in the jam!

Pretty slick AI in this game. I noticed some bugs with a dead person walking around, but other than that this felt very polished. I can imagine extrapolating more complex AI interactions to make bigger levels in this style, would be cool to see.

Developer

Ahh yes, the dead man walking bug. I've seen this, and it has prompted me to refactor the entire possession system to use a mediator. The AI system I've written is very extensible, I just didn't have time to add all of the mechanics I would have liked. Eventually, there will be possessable soldiers and combat. Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Good luck in the jam!

Great work! the possession mechanic is slick and I see huge potential for more complex puzzles down the road

Developer(+1)

We wanted to add some more puzzles but ran out of time. Making the systems work smoothly was quite a feat by itself with the AI and controlling multiple characters. We will be adding more puzzles in the future. Thanks for playing!
