I liked this game's theme a lot, but I just felt that luck had too much to do with the results. Still very complex for a Game Jam! Congrats!

How does your game represent "Power"?
You are a micromanaging manager who POWER trips his employees.

So stylized! Feels like I'm actually working in an office! The scaling of how much money you need to make a day is a little challenging but I had a enjoyable time playing this.
Ofc the employee I hire from evil corp was the best hire I made in this game.
On a serious note, the presentation and gameplay loop are clearly well thought out and executed. Took me a bit to figure out how to play, but once you get it, the humor keeps you focused on that next quota over and over again. Awesome work!
Gary Thompson you idiot, you got us all fired! I knew 2 dollars a day was too good to be true.
Neat game! Excellent presentation!
I definitely was a bit overwhelmed reading all the tutorial information at the beginning, but after i got into the thick of it and started to understand the process a bit more, it became a lot more enjoyable! was enjoyable!
I love the gameplay! Managing people strangely was fun. But to be honest I was bored of reading the tutorial half way through and learned the gameplay by playing. Maybe just telling the player what the game is about and throwing them straight to the game would be better for the start. And also having a guide somewhere in the game if people are confused. But should I really be the one talking? Probably no because I got the same kind of tutorial.
Power tripping never been so well made in games before, good job haha.
Dude I hired Lisa and she screwed me over! Fun game, awesome humor. Took a couple of tries to figure things out.
Dude the shirts were killing me. I can tell a lot of time and care went into this. Really great
This is a really cool idea and I love the original art and style of the computer!
Martina Sanchez showed a lot of promise in the field of having 9 fingers, but she betrayed me by only earning 9 dollars out of her $14 salary. Sometimes I wonder if that 10th finger would have made all the difference...
I decided to hire every person that came to the interview wearing the "Rizz God" shirt, but I could only make it to Day 5 because freaking Scott Robinson stole money :'(
Anyways, I really enjoyed all the humor and references :') A lot of the emails were very funny, and the things some people put on their resumes made me go 🤨
Could see myself playing this for hours with more content and story - reminds me of Papers, Please (and I'm not the first to make the comparison), which is a high compliment!
This game is dope! Love the presentation and the gameplay loop. However Im still not quite sure what kind of "careful screening" i should be doing. Is there a way to know a worker wont be good/is lying before i hire them, or is it random?
This was one of the gameplay decisions I wanted to flesh out if I had more time. How it currently works is that the game decides whether or not a candidate is lying per resume qualification (work experience or skills). Some qualifiers are more likely to be lies than others based on the position/skill itself + how high up the "career ladder" a position is. Hope that didn't give too much away. Glad you enjoyed though!
Nailed the old office computer aesthetic! Tried to keep as many of my coworkers as I could but I think someone was using the company card :p. I feel like with just a little more oomph from the gameplay like something similar to Papers Please, you really have something super neat! Great idea!
