I really enjoyed this, also works really well in browser for the most part until there was just too many enemies and it started lagging lol (I am certain this is not your fault though). Two recommendations are to one add particles when enemies are hit so I can see my bullets, and to make it so you can't accidently pick a power up when the screen comes up, this happened to me a couple of times. Nice variety of enemies, and it's you included menus with mouse sensitivity (still so mad at myself for not doing that for my FPS lol).

How does your game represent "Power"?
The player and enemy characters are robots, fueled by power cells that they murder each other for.
Power represents both the player's life and a form of currency that can be exchanged to turn on temporary powerups that increase the player's abilities.

This whole atmosphere is so good! I love the visual aesthetic created here, and all of the music and sound design was such a nice complement to the whole 90s future theme. I appreciated the actual spoken "boop" and "beep" over the buttons. The music was really enjoyable too. I wish there was a direct retry button at the end of the level instead of navigating through the intro and main menu. Very nice work!
Track slaps along with the sound effects! Seeing score records on the Game Over screen is awesome and adds to the replay value.
Hella fun to see 90s arena shooters make their return! Well done.
Really fun game! It looks great too. These power-up-based arena shooters always get me hooked xD
Good luck!
Loved the aesthetic, the CRT shader really tied things together. I also just love arena shooters so this was right up my alley. I would have liked if there was more feedback when I land a hit on the baddies, since at first I didn't even realize I was doing damage to them. But overall I really enjoyed this! Nice job!
The inclusion of two stages was great, it's not something I expect for a jam game like this but it was a welcome surprise! It seems like others have already said what I would say in regards to any potential fixes, so I'll just say great gameplay, great sound, and great art. Solid work!
A familiar fast-paced wave shooter, executed well with a nice aesthetic and music. Had a good time! Any fixes I thought of have already been mentioned by others here
Very nice game. Simple and clean. I like the clear objective of just shoot everything that moves. One bug fix / optimisation that may need to be added as when there are a lot of enemies all gathered together the games frames start taking a tanking. At least the timer was a Fixed update as that meant that time slowed down as my frames decreased too. But that's just the joys of playtesting! Overall good game :)
made me wish I live in the distant future of 1999
cool doom-like arena shooter, had fun
Great First person shooter, awesome pixel graphics, and cool sound effects accompanied by a catchy soundtrack. Overall a super enjoyable game, great work!
The opening line abour "power is life" reminded me of Overkill and then I started playing and it reminded me even more in a great way! Super fun and frantic. Nice work!
Hard, addictive boomer-shooter vampire survivor, good combo! Fast pacing movement feels good, shooting is not so good. hard to tell when enemies hit you from behind. Good work!
This was fun. The sfx were funny. One nitpicky issue I had was that when it came time to purchase a powerup, since I was spam clicking to shoot it would immediately select one of the options. Overall really great and polished game.
Thanks for playing! I noticed the same thing with the power selection on the browser version specifically. The mouse is supposed to be center screen between the two choices but the browser ignores this I guess. Have a few ideas on how to prevent this from happening that we will try to push after the rating period.
Love the idea, i really like games that balance power management with player strength. I think a lot of enemies got stuck in a corner while i played, there were like 10-15 of them bunched up, but otherwise this is cool
