So much to love about this game! The SFX and music were fantastic! The particle effects were like a fireworks show and the movement/shooting was very smooth. I love how the BG changed as enemies changes and the bullet changes were cool. I had loads of fun playing this game!
Hey this was a very cool game and I made a video review below:
00:56 For Greed and Glory
One of the best ones in the jam in my opinion, really enjoyed it. Definitely my type of game, in fact I believe we took very similar approaches, my submission is quite similar in terms of gameplay and how we interpreted the theme, so I really liked your game! It feels very complete, it even has skins and many different enemies, which really adds a lot to these short games. I highly recommend it!
Game looks really cool but when I try to play there are HUGE lag spikes and sometimes im not able to shoot after them. I'm getting a new computer soon and will try the game then!
LOVE the game.
I typically don't really enjoy bullet-hell type games but this was a blast.
The stat-balancing mechanic was very cool.
Nice job!
Stellar game! Plays really nicely with the theme and the gameplay is fun and addictive. I've always been a twin-stick shooter fan, and this pushes all the right buttons for me. The skins are a nice feature and would certainly drive interaction. I had to keep playing until I got the pokeball.
A great entry, very nice effects, simple yet fun. One thing to complain is not improving the player over time (as the enemies get stronger)
Thanks for playing! My initial idea was that I was gonna have multiple dungeons the player could select to play in and that the player adjusts their stats to see what best would work in a dungeon. Due to time constraints I wasn't able to add the more dungeons but hopefully I'll be able to in a future version of the game!
I love bullet-hell games. I also love powerups. I also love this game. Just the right amount of chaos on the screen, maybe the camera could be zoomed out a bit more, but other than that, it's the perfect jam game.
The game feels very polished, maybe a bit chaotic (especially since enemies and bullets can stack on top of each others) but that's a good thing actually!! Good Job!!
As the game gets harder you don't get stronger, that is my only complain, other than that this game is great in every aspect!
Amazing game! Maybe getting different scenarios rather than having only one big open space would make it much more interesting, but other than that this game is super good, especially the music
Amazing! The gameplay is satisfying and addictive, the art is also good, fits the game. The best part is music, though. Makes the game so much better!
Okay.
This is most likely the only game I'll give full five stars.
It's honestly amazing how you used the theme and the Risk VS Reward this game has.
The only small complaints I have are:
- The music restarts after you restart. ( How to make it not restart here ( tutorial by Blackthornprod )
- I wish the blue thingy that shows where you are aiming would change colors ( Ex: if you are playing as the cookie, the best skin, it'd be brown instead of blue ).
- Instead of "Replay" after you die it could be "Restart"
- The fire rate one ( for + items ) felt kinda pointless as you realllllly need that huuuuuge fire rate.
- When you actually start the game a more balanced "build" would be nice ( it currently is 10 health, no defense, 2 seconds fire rate. It could be like 30 health, 2 defense, 0.4 fire rate ).
Overall the best game I've played and super juicy. My high score:
Is that good?
