Game's Take on the Theme
A spinning wheel that you have to stop at certain spots to get the best of rewards (more attack damage, block incoming attacks). You could also play safe and use weapons that have more chance of actually hitting the enemy, but you're losing on damage.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes, we did

The turn-based combat was incredible, and the art of the characters and bosses was very good, especially with this childish aesthetic.

Thanks, I’d appreciate it if you could rate it too!
An interesting premise, adorable and amazing art, but it just kinda feels like it didn't receive enough time in the oven. I understand life happens, our team is huge and even we ran into 'staffing issues' so to speak, so I completely get a two-person team not quite getting there in a month. Now, if y'all were to keep going post-jam, add some more mechanical variety and simple animation work (really, two-frame animations would fit perfectly fine given the paper-Mario vibes hit hard), then you guys have a really cool game on your hands. Weapon timing and enemy attack dodging utilizing wheels is a really cool gimmick that isn't really explored since there's no mechanical difference between a given boss' attacks or a weapon. Say, for instance, if a weapon had more than one green zone, or required you to get several in succession, or a boss required something more dynamic than just timing to block its attack. The nicest thing about such a barebones system is the opportunity to scale it up if you so choose. I'd love to see where you could take this if you so desired! Good luck!
I really like how the spinning wheel mechanic is used for both attacking and defending. Pretty neat turn-based game.
Fun game! like the turn-based aspect and having to hit that sweet spot in the wheel to defend and attack!
(If you're willing to I'd love it If you rate and give me some feedback on my game! I'd love to see where I can improve for the future! :D )
I like the turn based approach that you have used here and how the spin is used here, Im not a great turn based player but I enjoyed what you did here, the graphics with this cartoon style are great, I rate graphics on top but I like everything, also if you can, please, rate my game, thanks!!
cool game, I liked it, would you like to rate mine back
Liked the use of turn-based mechanics !
Cool game, kinda like a final fantasy style thing with a rhythm game element. Theme feels a bit slapped on but i think turning it into more rhythm focus could be super cool. Art is great!

I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I ended up with a glitch on the second boss where I would succeed the spin for my attack over and over, but it would just keep resetting the spinner, and doing a successful spin didn't stop any attacks. I like the art style and music!
That glitch didn't happen to me on my playthrough, I'll be checking it out. Thanks for letting me know! :]
