Game's Take on the Theme
You "spin" your mouse around bosses' bullets to capture and then resend them back to hurt them.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes, but the player character is a reskin and the BGM is reused from my previous project.

What a unique concept, I actually really enjoyed it!
The controls can be quite rough with how often you can suddenly snap to different bullets during the capture and can frustrate the player. Overlooking that though, the game is really cool. I imagine multiple alternate ways to implement this where you "directly draw the circle on screen" and capture bullets that way.
It can be a bit rough on the player having to hold left click constantly while catching bullets, perhaps include a seperate button for "firing" the capture bullets, so its easier for us to focus on movement and telekenesis.
Very fun and cute art too!
Thanks for the feedback! Putting a separate button to let go of the captured bullets definitely seem like a good idea!
This is quite the unique core mechanic, it's pretty tough to get the hang of and I think some developer difficulty might've prevented you from making it a tad more accessible by having bullets directly fly to the boss instead of having to direct them yourself for example. But that aside, as I kept playing I got more and more comfortable with moving and capturing bullets and it made for a really cool gameplay loop. It helps a lot that the bullets are very slow, I very much appreciate that, the bosses all feel very congruent to the core gameplay system
Thanks for the feedback!
I definitely considered simply making the bullets just fly directly to the boss when I made the game. I decided not to because I was thinking ahead beyond this jam and say what if I make this a regular metroidvania -- then allowing you to direct the bullets yourself makes more sense. I also considered making one of the boss fights be against multiple bosses, although because coding the health bar would be hell I decided against it.
Very cool idea. I played with a laptop touchpad so it was extra difficult haha, but I made it to the third boss after a few tries. The pattern where you have to capture a bullet to make a gap was really clever! Might come back to this with a mouse.
Oof WITH A TOUCHPAD!?!?!? You have got some screws loose mate hahaha and of course the third boss is absolutely impossible with a touchpad; it is hard enough with a mouse!
Thanks for playing! I will try to check your game later
haha yeah. You already checked our game out, thatβs how I found yours!
Insane concept! I've never seen anything like this before—it was really cool! I also really enjoyed the visuals—minimalistic yet very appealing. Great job!
Thanks for playing!
Super cool mechanic ! Biboteur said a good point that I would have been suggested too.
Some good ideas in here ! It would be more comfortable if, once you clicked on a bullet, to have a threshold with more radius to make the circle, it switches often on a near bullet, which makes it a bit hard. Keep going !
Thanks for the feedback!
Really nice concept, the graphics are cool like 16 bit golden era and the mechanics is innovatinve, I find it hard to make the complete spin but it may be just me, I like the overal concept really, well made, I rate graphics on top but I like all of it, if you have time, please rate my game, thanks!!
Hey what a neat game you got there with unique mechanics! Had a hard time beating the bosses.
Congrats on submission, and good luck!
I rated and reviewed in hopes that you will return the favor of your rate submission of my game below!
- If others read this, RATE/REVIEW my game to get me to try yours as well! Thanks!
Thanks for playing!
I will play/review your game tomorrow, during the weekend
Love the concept and the uniqueness, only suggestion I have is to make the "spin complete" easier, maybe only half a rotation instead of the full spin. I found it to be too difficult to achieve a full rotation.
Thanks for playing and the suggestion!
There are a few parameters that determine the difficulty of circling a bullet; doing half spins will definitely make it easier, but Ig for jam purpose to make it fully obvious that "hey I am interpreting this theme" full circle was the only choice I had.
The other way to make capturing easier is to reduce the minimum radius (if you look at the prompt there is an inner circle, such that if you try to circle smaller than that you can't)... I tried to make it not too small so it's not too easy, but Ig I made it too hard instead
Your game approached is great.
Thanks for playing!
(Will check out submissions to this jam maybe on Saturday)
Interesting take of the theme, quite unique but it is a bit too hard to execute.
Thanks for playing mate :3
