Ooooo I'm a DJ! Though I have trouble with rhythmic games, I like what you did and love the art and sound! I could never hit a beat after trying many times. either it was too fast or I need better rhythmic gaming skills haha. Congrats on submission.

Really like the idea around the theme! The art style and music are all really cool as well! feels really polished, well done!

(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you could rate and give me some feedback on my game! I'd really love to see where I can improve for the future!)

Pretty cool take on the theme lol. Very fnf-esque.

It goes without saying that the presentation is absolutely amazing. Both audio and visuals are great. I'm usually not that into hip-hop, but the music in this game is definitely a bop. The art and the character designs are damn stylish as well.

The main mechanics definitely took some getting used to though. Tbh, I feel like the window for the regular swipe could've been widened a little. It feels a little too unforgiving right now. Swiping and holding seemed fine for the most part. I also think there should've been a little more of a delay before the very first action since it seemed next to impossible to actually hit it sometimes.

At first I thought the bosses in this game all felt the same, but then i realised that they're all effectively the same boss, so nothing really wrong there. Definitely pretty consistent at the very least

As a whole I'd say this was a damn sick game. Kudos to everyone involved

Heya Piggy! Thanks for playing!

Yeah the controls were something we definitely could improve a lot on, in fine tuning and making sure the mechanics feels polished. Appreciate your thoughts on the art, the team was super in preparing all of the great stuff!

Love the art style on this one as well as the take of the theme. The games feels polished on the visuals and UI but the gameplay are hard to control.  A simpler control would make this great. Well done!

Aw really look the style of this one ! Got some fun on it, just been a bit frustrated with the way you hold on the scratch, I kept missing it. Took me a while to figure out I wasn't supposed to play the first time XD. Visually it's great, the music is super cool, the UI is great too. Got some real potential I hope you get a good place in the jam !

The design is  very cool. This is a very smart interpret of the theme!

Great job overall, congratulations to the team!

I like the idea here, but I can't figure out for the life of me what I'm doing wrong. The polish is great, the theme interpretation is amazing. I like all the art and the soundtrack, and I think that the gameplay is good, I just don't understand it, so my only recommendation would to be to include more of a tutorial that maybe moves a bit slower with more feedback to tell the player what's being done wrong. This is really only needed because people like me have skill issues. Overall though great job!

Developer

Thanks for your thoughts!

The controls is something that we definitely needed to improve on. You've echoed a lot of what other players have experienced, where they still seem to miss despite inputting hte correct moves.

fun game that reminds me of Space Channel 5 and Jet Set Radio, really nice take on the theme

I absolutely adore this game’s concept even though I suck at it, the visuals and music are really good and the way the main mechanic fits into the theme is so fun. also the way each character is named after a different genre is such a cool silly touch

also IS THAT HATSUNE MIKU!?!

Developer

The team all loves the totally-not-hatsune-miku too!

Very cool interpretation of the theme. I loved the visuals and music, but I found the controls a bit difficult to understand. Overall fantastic job!

A very fun game! At first, I was really confused because I didn’t understand the controls, but after a few attempts, I got the hang of it and really enjoyed it! The visual style is awesome (the old man rocks!), and the music has a great beat.

I loved how the bosses dance simultaneously and how you have to switch between styles, plus each boss having their own music is a great touch. This is an honest and well-crafted piece of work!

They said i wasn't groovy enough, they bullied me for 4 games in a row :(

But i finally manage to beat the shit out of them and became the rhythm king !

Really happy to see another rhythm game here, this one was so so so much fun. I had issues trying to catch the record at first but I got used to the controls after a couple of runs. Loved the take on the theme and the music was so good! I loved how seamless everything was. Really nice character designs too.

When's the soundtrack release

God how I wish this was a bit easier to control, I loved it but could only get half the notes right.

Please got let me meet Digital-chan, I can dance with her.

- Love the visuals and sound, really solid work everything felt on point, polished, and fun.
- The menus and UI were well designed and the tutorial was clear.
- Boss designs were fun and varied, the idea of rotating the bosses in and out was an interesting one kept things flowing nicely
- Found the controls very hard to use, felt like I was fighting the controls most of the time and it throws you in the deep end immediately in terms of speed.
Great job, this is really impressive! Just needs some slightly more forgiving controls imo.

Amazing design and music, loved every moment of it. Controls are hard, yes, even though tutorial is clear :C

Nice job anyway!

I was really hoping I'd see a rhythm based DJing game for the jam and I'm glad you guys were up for the challenge! The music and artwork perfectly convey the vibe of a DJ battle, and the setup of the bosses and music switching every few lines is unique approach to a boss rush that gives the game a fun feel of forward momentum. I did find the controls pretty frustrating to play through though, I really think you should've made the turn table a significantly larger game object, because while I was playing I'd miss 90% of my notes because my hand was just slightly off or the table was too small to detect the turn that I was doing. I really think if the controls were tighter this would be an absolute A+ submission, because I absolutely adore literally everything else about it

it's very fun :D

Super creative, I absolutely love the musics and overall vibe !
I had some trouble with the controls/timing but I probably just suck, congratulations on the game !

Love it! Music and atmosphere cool as hell. Controls and timing pretty tricky, but as others have said could be a skill issue. Nice to see another game where you play as a DJ! Though mine is not a rhythm game. Very good job on this!
