i beat the game (im the dev btw)
not sure if there's any spinning in this game, but it kinda works.
unfortunately, I couldn't beat the first boss, it requires a lot of luck and skills, almost managed to kill the first boss, but it was difficult.
that being said, it was interesting, but only for a short while.
If you read the "Game's take on theme" section, (which im assuming you didn't), then you would know that I unfortunatley forgot about the theme mid creating the game. So, my take on the theme is one attack in the 3rd boss.
Cute art, but the controls have too much inertia in my opinion. Keep going !

Such a charming artstyle! I also love the animations. Really cute. I would just like to have not all controls so one-sided. Mouesclick to attack would be nice! Or: Arrow keys to move and everything else on the left.
I like the overal look and feel of the game, remind me the best Flash games and is so well put together really, the graphics are funny and nice. I rate graphics on top, but I like everything, also if you have time, please rate my game, thanks!!
always a sucker for ancient greek and roman content. good work and would love to see some of the systems you have here fleshed out and expanded upon!

I love the art style, I love the ancient Greek theming, I love the difficulty, and I love the overall concept. If this was a full-length game I would 100% play it. The controls are absolutely hellish though. The formatting of the controls is fine it's just the attack only registers 30% of the time.
Thanks for the feedback! One decision i made early in development was that attacking would be handled by a hitbox that is glued to the player, but only infront of them. so if you are attacking and standing on top of the boss, it wont do anything. try taking a few steps back and it should work.
That wasn't the issue, the hitbox doesn't register regardless. I appreciate the attention to detail though with keeping the attack hitbox towards the front where the sword is. Pretty dope.

Honestly, I love this take on Hercules. The art style reminds me of the game. It was super popular on youtube in the 2010's. Love to see references to stuff like that!
Great artstyle and sense of humor I love it. It's a bit too hard for me because of the controls but I managed to reach second boss. The combat system is simple but very nice, I would have liked some SFX to make it feel more dynamic. So bad you forgot about the theme though, but it's a great entry, well done!
Oh and the anvil attack is probably the most hilarious boss attack I've ever seen!
thanks! The controls were honestly just the best we came up with. Sorry it wasn’t right for you! I would have also liked to have added some sfx but I got the flu for a week last week and that really slowed down production. I haven’t played or rated any games yet.. but yours will be my first after I’m done with school. :)
