Those jungle breaks man, this game is smoooth. Had a lot of fun, great work!
Probably one of my top 3 favorite games in this jam and the number of ratings shows! Everything about this game is just awesome, it feels like something that should be on steam already!
(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you can rate and leave some feedback on my game! This is my first ever jam and I'd love to see where I can improve for the future!)
I beat every single boss including Margherita! Art style is phenomenal and adorable, controls were confusing at first but you get used to them after a while. Spinning the bosses attack is really unique, but I wonder if also spinning the background arena would make it more clear on what's happening.
For anyone struggling on this game, the best advice I could give is that you don't always have to hold down shoot.
Definitely my favourite game of the jam.
Not much I can really say apart from this game is exceptional! The gameplay, art and music is all top notch and couldn't be better. Everyone on your team should be extremely proud of yourselves :D
Extremely solid and well made game all around. Not much I can say
Presentation's amazing. Although I feel like the projectiles in the mermaid boss could've stood out from the environment more. They blended a little too much imo
The concept is amazing and I love how you managed to make every boss feel varied.
I like the idea of your super bar filling faster depending on your distance from the boss. Personally, I never really made use of it, but I can definitely see speedrunners or score chasers using it though. A pretty cool way to choose your own difficulty so to speak.
I have only one real issue, and that is that I couldn't really get an accurate feel on how big my hitbox was. Sometimes it felt like bullets just passed right through me, and other times it felt like I got hit even though I shouldn't have. ( Probably just a skill issue )
Apart from that though, I genuinely don't have much to say or criticise on this one. It's lean, mean, well paced and the difficulty is near perfect.
I like the art in this game. It's well-rounded, like a game made for the Gameboy Advance.
The controls aren't too difficult, it's easy to play, and there are some humorous moments in the game.
Thank you for making this game for us to play.
No one shall pull me out 🗣🔥🔥🔥
How did you do it in such short amount of time? Very cool art style.
I check out other game in your portfolio. Its all amazing. Became a follower.
Please rate my first game jam entry, TornaDuck. Feedback is welcome.
The cover art is very ps1 I like. the game itself has really nice art and good polish.
What a perfect game. Great mechanics, great art, great music, and it fits so well with the theme. 10/10!
Amazing! perfect idea, perfect execution, cute visuals, charming designs, cool music great sound effects, even has a cute narrative ending.
great game.
Fantastic! The control scheme took a second to get used to, but once i got the hang of it it was a blast. I really like how unique it feels. The visuals were also really nice and sleek.
I felt like the city boss had some readability issues. The high-contrast background of that stage in my opinion makes it kind of hard to see some things, with the yellow bullets and yellow telegraphs being the biggest offender- but nothing super problematic, really.
I feel like the game would be better off if the backgrounds also rotated somehow, but I can imagine it might be difficult to implement. That would give better feedback to spinning the stage around in my opinion.
overall, really solid! :D
This game is perfect. I think I speak for all of us when I say this deserves to place in the top of the prize pool. 5 stars in all departments. Please extend the game and release on mobile, because I'd love to play this on my phone!
Absolutely Fantastic Work! This nails the theme. The control scheme is something akin to Sea Side Drive's genius binding of movement and shooting and I love how it is like Tohou meets Super Hexagon. This is one of the best games I've played on Itch.io in a long time honestly in terms of just absolute execution. The soundtrack is super great too!
The game design is very unique in that can't shoot bullets unless move. The pixel art of the bosses is also excellent!
Absolutely awesome game, the type of game I'd buy if it were expanded upon...I enjoyed the art, UI, bosses as well as how well it ran because there were no slip-ups or technical errors. Well done.
5 STARS. ALWAYS FAN OF PIXEL ART! The gameplay reminds me of Touhou Project for some reason. XD
This is the only game I've given 5s across the board. Super unique and fun concept. Absolutely uses spin. Intuitive controls with very few buttons to remember. Awesome art and consistent style (retro look is great). And the music / sound is good too (great use of sound queues etc). I really hope this one wins, great work!
This reminds me a lot of megamanx. its a really cool and polished game
