I really like this visual style, Im not very familiar with it but Ï like it a lot and i find it amusing really, the game mechanics are solid and work find, only advice I could make is change slightly the weapon changing system but well its good as is too, I like the overal game idea a lot really, feels very inmersive and surrealistic. I rate graphics, control, music and fun the most, but all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!

It's a visual punch you get when playing this game!! Being a huge fan of semi-realistic designs, as well as the strange styles of slow-motion animated films, I absolutely loved it!!! I’d love to be in the game, honestly.

A few negatives: Some weapons seem much stronger than others (especially the laser pistol). The combat arenas are overloaded, which gives a great aesthetic, but makes movement quite obstructed. Let’s not forget that accessibility to an entity should be relative to its context. To finish, I’d say that the spinning wheel animation at the end of a weapon is either too long OR happens too quickly. I would’ve preferred less variety to better appreciate each weapon.

Aside from my critiques, the game is truly a gem, and I’m proud to have stumbled upon it! Huge props to everyone who worked on it.

Developer

I agree with your critiques. All of them are things I would have liked to adjust if we had time for proper play testing before release, but a month wasn't long enough.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The weapon-changing system terrifies me every time!

Otherwise, I love the game’s ‘TOS’ and the general atmosphere.

Well done!

stellar art and I loved the tonal shift! after lowering the games settings it ran well and was playable (M1 Mac so bonus points for a Mac version). personally while I feel the weapon wheel was a great touch and fits the game great I wish there was more ammo and it didn't happen as frequently. other than that great work! the entirety of my other complaints can be boiled down to "skill issue" lol

war…..war never changes. That intro is a great start and then the EULA really sets the tone, I worked hard to earn that cookie, that must of taken ages to write and come up with. All the different gun were great and I loved getting a new one, the whole game is so well put together and the models look amazing. I had a lot of fun with this gj :)

Developer(+3)

Glad you enjoyed it! Enjoy your cookie :)

I gotta say, I read the whole EULA, and I laughed, a lot LMAO. Also the ending scene with the soldiers dancing was hilarious! The game looked amazing visually and it was pretty fun, also liked that you didn't have to replay the whole bosses when you died, it was a pretty good experience! Congratss! :D

Developer(+2)

You ACTUALLY read it all lol???!!! Didn't think anyone was crazy enough to do it. You earned that cookie. Glad you enjoyed.

Also loved the bosses staying at their current HP, I'm the kind who despises repetition, and this game was a breath of fresh air (of casual difficulty :D)

I love the visuals/art of this game sm!!!! Very coherent and stylistic overall. The only thing that didn't like was the UI (but honestly, you guys got it working with unreal, so that's an A+ right there, lol).

Also, how come the ducks are so fricking cute :000

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Just curious, what about the UI did you not like? Want to see what I can improve in the future. And to answer your question ducks are always cute duh

This game is so charming with its circus theme and everything being jumpy and colorful I went all the way to the end. Nice weapon designs and cutscenes. Also good technical polish: shader precompliation and working options menu, just one small point is that the FOV I changed got reset with the next boss.

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! This was my team and I's first real jam so we were all hoping to do well on our first swing. So happy you found it technically polished, means I did my job well. At least almost well lol.

First thing I gotta say—DJ Gumboss is the coolest dude I’ve ever seen! He’s the only reason I didn’t give up! 😆

Really fun game with its own unique charm. I ran into a couple of minor bugs, but nothing major—except one: on the second boss, I fell into a pit and just stayed there instead of respawning, so I had to restart from the menu.

Visually and gameplay-wise, it’s awesome! I really liked the random weapon selection mechanic. Oh, and one more thing — lasers rule! 🔥

Developer(+1)

DJ Gumboss FTW. He's the reason we didn't give up either. Glad you ended up liking our jam. Sorry about the bugs you encountered. Baby's first game jam here. We'll be sure to make the next one perfect though. And yes lasers rule

Amazing visuals, a bit too hard to know what the hell I was doing lol but I kept shooting XD wasn't really sure if I was hitting the boss, but again awesome looking aesthetics!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for your feedback. Glad you liked our vibe. Next time we'll make sure you know if you're hitting the boss ;).

A lot of fun! I thought all the weapons were great. The boss designs were excellent. They also did a fantastic job with their cutscenes!

Submitted(+3)

Very cool aesthetics with this one! I really enjoyed getting to a high position and looking at all the props set up in the boss arena.

The gameplay was a bit lacking for me. I found it kind of difficult to move around and aim at the boss without hitting something or falling off the arena. I still had to defeat all the bosses to see what the DJ would do next!

Submitted(+4)

Really fun! Really enjoyed all the different weapons. The boss designs were great. Great job on their cutscenes as well!

Great job!

Great job y'all! The game is incredible!
