SAWGAL's itch.io pageGame's Take on the Theme
The Character you control moves using circular saw as rollerblade, and can create circular saw to throw as projectile. Additionally, the main mechanic involves moving fast to charge your attack faster, which is achieved by moving around the bosses at high speed.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
I did all the art and music during the jam. I also used some sound effects from Pixabay as well as the 'Upheaval' font from Dafont, all are free to use.

This is a really cool perspective! I felt like I'm fighting an anime battle :D
Thank you for playing !
i really like this game, very space harrier-y!
i'm not very good with mouse aiming and keyboard controls unfortunately, so i prob won't get very far, controller would suit me much better?
good comic book style graphics, like the simple but effective shoot / dash gameplay!
good luck with the jam!
Thanks ! I didn't really think about it but you're right, controller support would have been nice.
love the main character. actually my dream outfit xDD thanx for sharing!
Glad you liked it !
I really like the maneuver and the art style.
Loved the art, almost didnt like the gameplay because of how much HP the boss had, but upon seeing i had to charge not spam, it did become more pleasant. I love Bedimir's charging sprite, this 2D3D mix is really well done. Can only see this game going up from here
Seriously fantastic job with this one, I found all 3 bosses to be really fun and exceptionally dynamic. The jester in particular was an awesome fight, really pushed the game's mechanics with how slippery he was. Both the spherical movement around the stage and the rotation of the weapon felt wonderful to play, the game feel was just spot on from start to finish. That's not even mentioning the unbelievably phenomenal artwork and music which really just elevated it to another stratosphere. One of my absolute favorite games of this jam so far, can't sing its praises enough!
I wish there was a way to like a comment multiple time because I definitely would here. Thanks a ton !
Great art style and boss design!
I'm glad you liked the art !
I was confused at first, but luckily for you I read the comments! When you understand the mechanic, this is super fun! The second boss was my favourite, but we were in a stalemate at one point where I couldn't land a hit and it couldn't hit me because we both kept missing for like 3 minutes straight. Other than that, amazing work!
Thank you for your feedback !
I added an explanation image in the description of the game regarding the "hold to charge" mechanic, since your comment and the previous two made clear that in was quite unintuitive when playing the game.
And yes the second boss can be pretty difficult to hit, especially when its low on health, but I made sure to give each bosses an attack that immobilize them for a bit, so it should be possible to touch them during this time.
Super cool entry, i really loved the Artistic Direction, at first i didn't understand you had to charge to do more damage so I was like "this boss has waaaaay too many HPs".
Then I understood the charge (by reading the comment) and the game made way more sense.
Congrats for making this fun game!
Thank you for your comment !
5/5 for fun, boss design, and art!
My only critiques are the boss(es) being veeeeery spongy, and if there's no down-side to attacking, it might benefit from shootinh the saws automatically. My hand was hurting from clicking so much lol
Thanks for testing my game out !
The idea behind the attack is to hold the left mouse button to charge a more powerful attack, and release to deal more damage. The charge speed is tied to the character speed so you have to move fast to charge faster.
But I realize a bit late that I should've added that explanation in the game instead of the description.
