You dive deep into the protagonists mind, digging up things your character wishes to keep stored in his mind. Also you are literally diving deep by fishing!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Almost everything, all I did that was not made by scratch was the glitch shader that is implemented for some of the sprites.

This game was AWESOME! Like the main gameplay is fun and all, but the story is where this game really shines. I might even say that the story is better than my story (And I made a very heavy story driven game so that says something). And this game just does a really damn good job of making the player feel something. like when I say that car crash, I actually got goosebumps, or how the music gets slower and slower everytime you fish up a treasure. I very much enjoyed it.
(oh and also the game looks really cool.)

Ive given it 5 stars all round! One of my favourite games Ive played for this jam so far! I like the mechanic of using the mouse to collect objects. It stars off as a game to collect as many items as possible and changes to a game to avoid items untill you get deeper.
I love how the entire environment changes over time. The colour palette, the music, the state of the fish ect..
I really really good game! my only improvement is perhaps more animations to make the world feel alive! But perhaps you wanted the world to feel dead and sureal!

Such a fun little game here with a good take on the theme. The deepness of fishing and fishing deeper but getting the notes and getting deeper into the story. Nice art and it all made a good game. well done for your first jam

Wow honestly one of the best games in this jam I love how the game gets darker and creepier as it goes. It started out as a simple concept with just fishing and I love how it elevates. It does a really good job at building intrigue. I literally don't have anything to criticize about this game good job.

This is a really fun game to play and I wasn't expecting such deep storytelling! The progression was very good, I loved how it got darker. In my opinion, if you wanted to polish this by getting an artist on board and develop the music further, this would be a sellable game. Awesome and super impressed!

Wow, didn't expect a wonderful narrative packaged into this game! The gameplay loop is super well-refined and was very satisfying to keep me going until I beat the game.
