Love the music, sound and assets. More decisions would have been great, like positioning decisions and more than one character to decide upon.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! When I revisit the project I'll definitely add positional based (adjacent players) buffs, I think that can improve the positioning quite a lot :)

I loved this game! I ended up playing for about an hour trying to beat my previous score, I my best score was 23 doors. The art style was great and I had fun reading the character descriptions. I love how all the characters blend in with each other to make a great team! I also agree with the other comment that maybe the characters should spawn at higher levels as the game progresses. I think I found a bug where two enemies spawn at once, this happened a few times while playing. Still I had a lot of fun, Great Job!

Good game, loved the mechanics I beat to floor 23! At first it did seemed a bit easy tho but the difficulty at 15 gets higher by alot haha!

Love the visuals and musics, sounds are okay can be a bit better maybe but overall very nice!

I really like the character and monster art and the gameplay loop is fun, plus I love merging things in all games! Nice work! My score was 17.

Did one playthrough and didn't spawn a tank and was combining when I didn't need to. Second play through got through 22. Very well done!

Very neat!  Got to about 10 before some of the guys decided to not go through the door.

I was oneshotting all the enemies with Vale, it kept spawning so I level them up a lot. Then, one enemy had 2 HP too much and I was reminded of a thing I neglected the whole time: Vale hits hard but also has low HP. It took one attack to finish off my team’s Champion, and the rest of the team followed suit soon after. Got to 21 in my first playthrough.

Honestly, had a lot of fun. I skipped the tutorial and only read the abilities in the description and stats in info boxes, so I didn’t know the first time you could combine them to level them up until my boxes were full and didn’t know what to do.

Very fun, and I really liked the little descriptions for the characters. Overall, a delightful experience.

I had fun playing the game. :) It's amazing what you've accomplished in the short period!

Fun game!

I had a lot of fun playing your game! Congrats! I cleared 23 doors, I think that might be good!

The core design got me really interested! I like the idea of moving characters around and combining them. Really got me hooked.  Loved the descriptions of each "adventurer". The graphics were on point. I really liked the design of the adventurers (they are really cute) and the enemies, they blend well together.

I kinda forgot what the abilities of each adventurer does, it'd be cool if in the info tab while playing you had that info as well.  I feel it would also be good because there are many different adventurers that you can gather and they were introduced at the same time, so it was difficult to remember exactly what they do.

PD: Got to 25 on my second playthrough!

Thanks for the feedback! As far as I am concerned 25 is the high score. I only managed 24 :D

Oh yes I also forgot to mention. One way I think progress could be made easier at higher levels, is to have adventurer spawn at slightly higher levels as you go on. Like for example, once you get to level 8, new adventurers spawn with level 2. And then again at level 20 they spawn at level 3. Something like that. Of course it should be balanced, but I feel like it's something a lot of games do these days.

Developer(+1)

I was thinking about that but I wanted to "limit the playtime" a little, because I thought that nobody would play more than 15mins. When I revisit the project I will definitely spawn higher level players :)

Got to level 23! I enjoy the game loop, I think it has potential

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. This is my 5th gamejam game, but it is the first one that I am really satisfied with. Ill probably revisit this game and make some improvements :)

I really like the game in its simple style gameplay, the bloom made the game stand out.

I really liked the little swivel animation while dragging. Such a cute game! All that love and caffeine paying off :D

managed to get to level 10 - really like the simple concept! would be awesome if there would be more content in the future :) e.g.: upgrades

I enjoyed it, when dragging a companion it isn't visible so sometimes I didnt notice I was dragging something. But I really liked the combat system.

Fun semi-auto battler! The sfx was abit harsh on the ears but there was a good vary of players for a gam jam. overall pretty great!
