Overall I found this to be a really fun game! I really enjoyed the range of characters, as well each of them having their individual uses. I would have loved their to be more complexity to the gameplay, such as special attacks for each character.
The artwork was great as well, and the gameplay fit into the theme of the jam pretty well too! I made it to 23, but would struggle to get any further than that, but perhaps that's just a skill issue haha.
Would love to see some boss' and different dungeons to make your way through in the future if you planned on expanding the game.
Great job overall! Nice stuff!
I think I had a bug I beat the skeleton but couldn't go through the door. Nice graphics and sound!
Great idea! The game was a little bit buggy but it wasn't anything gamebreaking
I really enjoyed this. A lot more than I expected too. I thought all the intros for the characters were cute, but it felt like I kind of a road bump to get to the gameplay. I think it would be better if they were introduced as they came out to the field. I was able to get to door 17. I was surprised how emotionally connected I got to my little warriors when they started going down lol. Great art and music as well, keep up the good work! P.S. I did find a little "hidden feature" where I could grab one of my adventurers as they were running into the next door, but when I put him back down he just trotted along to catch up to his friends.
Very fun little game, absolutely loved the aesthetic and general vibe. Good job!
Loved the art and characters!! I got a bug in level 7 or 8 I picked the new character and it was attache to my mouse and I couldn't place it anywhere and never allowed me to go to the next level by clicking the door.
That was fun! The little characters are really cute and I enjoyed the concept ^^. The tutorial was nice, but I would have loved to have a little in-game recap somewhere, I cannot memorize so that much information ^^'. The description helped, but it doesn't really have the sprite of the character, only the name. However, the game lacks a bit of interaction: unless I missed somthing, the majority of the gameplay is just "watching things happening without being able to do much". Yeah, you combine/add a character one per turn, but that's it ^^'. I would have loved to have a bit more control, like being able to trigger myself the special attack of each character.
But, even if it was repetitive and a bit basic... It was strangely addictive! I still had fun grinding the doors, unless I got completely obliterated xD. So good job, that was enjoyable! So I think it has potential, and just needs some fine-tuning to become a banger ;).
Fun to play, i got obliterated really fast though
Fun game!
But I think it needs rebalancing! It went from ez to impossible after two doors! (from door 20 to 22 or something). But other than that it was fun!
There was one thing that was annoying - After EVERY Boss one has to press on the door. And after EVERY SINGLE ONE I forgot to and waitedl like an idiot ... but maybe its just on me xD
Really fun game, i was only able to reach level 3 XD.
If you have time check out my game.
nice tactical game
Clicking the door multiple times spawned multiple bosses and destroyed my team XD. But fun strategy game!
Overall I like the idea behind the game and I think with some polish and slight redesign it could be a real hit (but of course deadlines are deadlines, so not knocking it). Overall I agree with some of the other people where it doesn't feel like I had much choice or strategy other than put the guy in armor in the front and the difficulty definitely spikes around 20-23 (for me at least) where it went from I was casually running through enemies to they were 1-shotting my leveled up tank.
But that aside, the character descriptions were funny, and the art was great, and I like the auto-battler aspect. :)
Thanks for your feedback! I need to revisit the balancing, but I didn't have much playtesting and I wanted the game to end within 15mins so that a gamejam tester could play the whole game loop :)
