How does your game fit the theme?
During the day you have to get resources to manage your cabin, because during the night something comes to haunt you... You are not sure what it is but it is trying to knock your cabin doors to get you.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, it was all done by us.

One of the few games from this jam that gave me shivers! It's really intense after 3rd night and has first "The Forest" vibes to me because of the whole "survive in a cabin" experience. Great job on the music too!

Good art and sound. I think need some flash light when shotgun shooting.

Good teamwork.

Nice game! Reminds me of darkwood but with a faster more arcadey pace which is cool. I did find a couple of bugs. One of the monsters would never come in even if I opened the door they were at, and I also noticed a couple time where the camera shake became really extreme when hammering a door or getting caught by a monster.

COD Zombies! Fun game like the night cycle.

The art and the sounds are really good and the idea is fun. I don't see survival games like this in jams that often. The game is quite confusing and the long instructions in the menu is probably not the best way to teach the mechanics. But overall, great game!

Super scary! Loved playing this!

I really like the survival aspect you gave the game, with nights being dangerous and day being safe. It's exciting and scary to be out, gathering resources before the night comes with the monster! The idea is simple but it's really effective.

I think that making nightfall a little bit more progressive, not necessarily longer, but with more signs that it's getting dark. It kinda just gets dark super fast without too much time to react. If you were out in the woods you probably will be chased by the monster. If you had more signs, you could have that moment of "Do I have enough time?", "Do I push it?", etc. I think that would be amazing!

thanks for this submission!

I'm not great at this kind of game, but I can see what you were going for, and I think you did a good job. I'd have appreciated some tutorial on the easier difficulty curve, though. The Webgl version still has a grey frame in between actions, though. With all of that said good job! :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Well some actions have camera shake and we used perlin noise to make it random and it might go crazy sometimes (off the map) thats why you can see grey.

Fun game !  I would have love to be a better survival gamer x)

Developer

Thanks! The tight deadline didnt let us add more content.

tbh I think it's already so good for a 6 days jam !

Really cool! Maybe becomes a little repetitive after a few nights, but overall it's really well made, expecially the visuals and the creepy mood!

Developer(+1)

Yah that is true, we might add more variety in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool game! Love the snowy map, and the spooky tone. It's definitely my kind of game.

I think it could be more clear what the different items do.

Also, I ran into some visual glitch where it felt like the game kept doing some transition-type thing, almost a screen wipe with a grey panel over and over again. That only happened once.

Really nice job! :)

We have recently fixed the visual glitchs. We didnt have time to make a proper tutorial for it, but Im glad you enjoyed the atmosphere!

Nice work! Nice visuals and great gameplay idea!

Thanks!

Cool game! I feel maybe a bit too difficult and a text-tutorial is nobody's favorite :D But polished and deep!

Oikein hieno suoritus. Hienoa, että on kontrollien vaihtaminen ja kaikki muut kilkkeet valikoissa.

Kiva että tykkäsit pelistä :D

I was honestly positively supprised. Your page and screenshot do not resemble your game at all. The gameplay felt really intrusive, i love top down twinstick shooter like games and i think you had programming wise one of the best games ive played so far. good job!

Developer

Yah I get that, we tried doubling down on the atmosphere in this game and mechanically it was a bit of trouble to do everything in this short period of time, Im glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

I fully get that, i really admire your work you did in this time and id really would love to hear some of your feedback for our game :)

I think it's an interesting concept, but I struggled a bit, I could not get the light and shotgun at the same time, enemies were not attacking me and I had no idea how many bullet I got or needed to kill them. I went a bit outside and stopped. I think you can turn it into something cooler :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Can you explain why you couldn't get the light and shotgun at the same time? The player can only equip one item at a time, but there should be room for two unique items in the inventory. The monster is immortal, shooting it will only stun it and make it retreat.

We will definitely keep working on this game, even after the game jam is over!

ah I see, makes sense ( for the monster ). Well i could grab the shotgun but had to drop it to grab the light. Maybe there's a way to switch that I missed ( would be easier for sure ).

Pressing the Q key changes the active inventory slot!
