How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about entering magical doors to find out which items lie behind it. Once the player have discovered the contents of a door, they must remember which door contains which item and use this knowledge to match items of the same type. If you try to enter doors with non matching items the undead are spawned which cant be killed only avoided using your trusty dodge. Also the doors are portals that will teleport you to another door that in the level which means you will only find out once you enter the door. More reasons to ask whats behind the door.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code from scratch, Got the model assets from synty store and modified , UI assets from the Layer Lab amd game-icons.net which have been modified, music is by Joel_Steudler, SFX from free sound and zsplat which have been modified in audacity.

I really like the game. I find the gameplay unique and challenging. Overall a great game :)
Side note: if you lose, go back to the menu, then hit start game, it increases your score/high score.
When I did this a few times the tower level just started infinitely climbing into the thousands/ten thousands.
I played the game again and noticed if you hit the X and hit start again, the level increases. This also eventually causes the level going up infinitely. It seems to be going to level 8 that is causing the level going up infinitely.
This is a really cool idea. I liked the memory match aspect of running through one door and having to remember which item I had. It definitely got more complicated once more and more enemies were in the mix, but I felt like there was a good balance of enemies to bonuses. Great use of the theme and there was a really nice level of polish to everything.
Would love if you could potentially play/rate our game Untangled - we're still trying to hit the threshold for ranking.
Great job and congrats on finishing!
Thankyou for the play. And say no more! I shall play and rate it right away!
That would be awesome. Thank you!
And my pleasure! I'd seen this one and was excited to play it.
This game is genius.
That is really innovative, and fun with grate use of the theme! Very nice work!
Thankyou so much
Great job! I really liked the it. But I found it quite difficult, I ended up running through random doors with heaps of enemies chasing me.
Thankyou. Yes i need to improve on the difficulty of the game
Wow pretty impressive. Looks very polished! For me maybe a rouglike element would be also fun, to get some upgrades after the levels
Thankyou. That would be a very interesting idea! Maybe door give you items you can use later on.
This game is as hard as it is fun 😄 I kept dying with 3k gold, I need to learn to dodge better... The challenging part is thinking under pressure, but I feel like the mixture of these elements add up to a fun game! Congrats 👍
Thankyou for the feedback. Yes difficulty needs to balanced.
Very sweet game! From the 4th level it gets really difficult.
The whole game and the player movement feels very smooth.
I had to smile the whole time I was playing.
very very well done!
GG
Thankyou! Yes difficulty truly needs to balanced and there are some really nasty game breaking bugs after level 7
The game felt polished, but my experience was confusing—I found myself running between random doors without understanding the objectives, yet somehow still managed to complete the level. It wasn't clear what my goals were; I was just moving from one door to another. A tutorial that focuses less on text instructions and more on visual or interactive guidance would likely be more effective.
Thankyou for the feedback. I agree a tutorial that is interactive would have been alot more useful. I will add it after the jam. However due to time constraints text was the only option.
This was fun! If you don't mind me making a suggestion; Spawning at another door after going through one was a bit disorienting and made it harder to remember which door the item I'm currently carrying came from. Also if the first time you go through a new door it doesn't spawn an enemy so it gives the player time to get familiar with the doors before being chased.
This was a really fun take on the "What's behind the door" and is one of my favorites in terms of theme. And I had a lot of fun playing it. Great job!
This was great feed back. I agree with all your feedback including the don't spawn on first door. I plan to fix all this after the jam is over since I can make any changes. So the game takes influence from the card memory game where players flip over one card at a time and remember which card it was. Thankyou for the play through this is exactly the type of feedback i need.
Today I learned I had a terrible memory.
No seriously though this was pretty fun! I think putting projectile indicators and the exclamation marks over their heads was a great idea and made dodging feel more skillful. Using the gold system to allow retries was also smart. I got it pretty far before one of the enemies got mad and shoved me out of the tower and softlocked me, I think I took too much of their loot. Great job with this!
ok so i had a LOT of fun with this until I reached like level 7 or 8 then it crashed ahahhaha. I dont know wat happened the level counter just blew up. but the game is very creative and the only thing that frustrated me a little was not knowing where I would spawn so I would constantly walk towards the enemies. Oh and I can't thank you enough for not making me start all over from level 1 after I died
I am so glad you enjoyed it. I was thinking maybe when you get close to the door it shows you where you will Teleport. That crash is a major break need to figure out why its doing that though.
one of the more unique games i played during this jam :) Great interpretation of the theme also. the gameplay is really addicting, but it feels like the enemies can easily outrun you if you're not careful enough if that wasn't intentional. The enemy sounds can get a bit annoying also. But this was a really good submission nonetheless, great job!
I agree with you a 100% the enemies are NOT well balanced they are meant to be there to keep you on your toes and make sure you don't keep going through random doors. unfortunately not enough time to implement balance or even playtest. I agree with that point maybe not so frequent and overlapping enemy sounds would benefit the game. I really appreciate the constructive feedback!
Fun to play, but the game is not for me ahah I'm bad at memory games, but with enemies that are following me at each error, it's impossible x) well done though
great game relly enjoy it
Thankyou! You did great your self!
One of if not the best ❤️
Thankyou soo much!
Good puzzle game. Tho my memory didnt come clutch XD
This game is very well polished. From UI to sfx to gameplay! Great job!
