The best-looking game I have played on the jam so far. I love the art and gameplay the most, the music sets the tone well. Just a bit confused about the gameplay at first because there were no instructions/tutorials, but it did not take that long since the game design is good. Greaat job.
Amazing game, maybe the best one! 10/10
Well polished gameplay, music, sound and outstanding art, vibe of Monsters inc., just wonderful! Thanks to the team of cool developers for the such of gem!
I may be a bit biased as I enjoy playing card games but this was very fun to play; it was also nostalgic as it reminded me of Monsters Inc. This is a minor gripe but I'd think some sort of main menu would be appreciated and perhaps more card variety.
Looks really good, and plays nice. I didn't really get how to play though. Managed to win, but I was mostly guessing what I was doing, a tutorial might be cool. Other than that, great job!
I love the idea of scaring a child using a game mechanic to make the game interesting to play! Basically Monsters Inc. but playable and more fun than the original
Great job on this!
I loved the card style thing! gave me nostalgia of monster inc there and i loved every part of it, the game was simple and kinda too easy! was wondering if u can add maybe parents coming in or something like that, but nontheless i loved the idea of it!
I love card games, so this hit the spot! Great job!
Graphics and audio were knocked out of the park! I really liked the intro door-opening animation as well. Even if most of the assets were purchased or generated, bringing them together cohesively like this is an achievement.
Gameplay was briefly confusing, then neat as I understood, then stale when I realized the only mechanics were numbers and canceling. But that’s also right about when I finished the game, so the length is right.
I love this idea, I think with some more card types (for the player and the child) as well as deck building and more levels, this could really hold my attention over a longer play time.
Good job to the whole team!
Nice concept! The game was really fun to play. The idea itself is pretty great. Definitely should’ve had more levels, but it is understandable that it doesn’t given the time frame of the jam.
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at the vod again in the future here it is timestamped to your game
Animation at the beggining was the best and art concept of the cards is well done.
Great game.
This is really a very cool and great job! Respect to the game design. I had a lot of fun and excitement from the game!
Completely blown away with graphics. You had an excellent work on game art and mechanics. Just got a bit of feel going off the game jam theme. Other than that, its super solid for just a week of time-frame.
It's really funny and well designed game. Well done!
This is such a unique idea! Love it ! Awesome! Could be an entire story based game!
I quite enjoyed the balancing of the child's fear. I was a little confused at first about what I was aiming to do but picked it up.
Nice game, very impressive, the art is amazing!
The Splash Image lied to me! I was fully expecting a jump scare game and yet it's actually a fun game of balancing fright
Haha, well hopefully that was a good surprise :)
The intro of the game is beautiful, loved the concept of turn based scaring children, can see potential, but right now, without deck building mechanics it felt too easy and random.
The image promoting the game does look too much like a creepy Monster's Inc., but the game graphics were awesome.
I think the game loop is pretty good. I think there would be a little bit of red tape involved with the IP if you were to make it a full game with Sullivan and his crew but you could definitely attach the same play concept to another scenario. it would even work well if you make a retail/help desk simulator, and then the cards are responses to client issues, trying to keep them at the desk or on the phone, balancing between solving their problem or getting them to annoyed that they leave.
Good Job
