I think this is a great example of how less is more - the minimalist sound effects add a lot to the game and fit really well into the graphics, resulting in a really nice, cohesive piece. The enemies soaked up a lot of my bullets and I swear my shotgun missed point blank a few times, but overall I loved this game and kept replaying it with different weapons. Really nice!
There's charm in simpleness! Thanks for trying out my game! Im happy you had fun with it.
There's still a lot of balancing to do, but that'll have to wait until the rating period is over, so please look forward to future updates!
The game feels quite nice! Really good variety of weapons an enemies!
Thanks! I really wanted to have a lot variety of weapons, upgrades and enemies. I hope that with later updates the number will grow bigger!
Very polished and good feeling game, some weapons could be a bit better balanced but otherwise super good! Great game!
Thanks for trying it out!
Indeed there's a lot of balance to do hahaha. Once the review period is over I'll definitely update it, so please look forward to it!
Simple yet well polished game. Everything you do feels nice and looks good. The theme is implemented well so overall good job :)
Thanks for playing it!
It makes me happy to know the game feels nice to play, I appreciate it!
Simple but the game feel is very well done, good job
Thanks a lot! I think sometimes simple is enough!
The premise is really fun and the game kept me waiting for quite a while. The music and the sound effects could be juicier and the game is maybe a little too difficult.
Hey thanks for playing! Im happy that you had fun :3
I know there's still some room for improvements here and there, it was my first time creating audio assets after all hahaha.
But yeah, I will definitely tone down the difficulty once the review period is over. It was hard even for me!
A surprisingly difficult game where even a single fly takes 10 bullets of an SMG to the face and survives.
In seriousness, the almost comedic feel and visual style of the game with the wild spraying of bullets and the cute enemies makes it an extremely enjoyable and relaxing game, even though its difficulty definitely ramps up quickly. The roguelike aspect also makes it feel very much like a sandbox and I particularly enjoy the idea of using lives as currency(keys).
On the con side, sometimes the doors, due to maybe more simplistic generation, seem to be a bit too random. I have gotten I believe 5 upgrade rooms in a row, and often with the choose a gun rooms, both guns are the same so I don't even get to make a decision. I think fixing up this side of the game would definitely make it feel more of a choose your build type of game and allow for player freedom(think of a game like rounds).
That's all and hope you have a great remainder of the jam!

Hahahaha thanks a lot! It is actually difficult at some point! Believe me when I say that adding the "spitter" enemies increased the difficulty by like x10.
I do think some weapons should be adjusted in terms of DPS (damage per second); either increasing the damage, reload speed or fire rate.
And yes! The randomness of the game is practically just an internal "choose random from these" kinda thing, there isn't much more to it, I also found it pretty....off at times. I hope to add more parameters to it so that the randomness looks more, well, random, diverse, etc.
And yes, I do plan to give this little game a bit more of love in the future, because I really liked it! So expect more updates after the review period is over ;)
Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate the time and effort!
Good fun!
Thanks for playing!
Im glad to know you had fun! I had quite the fun too while playtesting!
Nice Shooting Game ,sound effect gets the vibe
Thanks for giving it a shot!
This was my first time experimenting with an audio/music program, so Im very happy to know you liked the sounds!
I used FamiStudio, which is meant to create NES kinda sounds.
Nice game with keys, upgrades, different guns, levels and stuff. What a person can want more :) Although my favorite weapon "shotgun" is kind underperforming :D

Cool to see you liked it!
Should I give the shotgun more love? What do you think it lacks that makes it underperming?
I really want to keep updating the game after the review period is over!
Fun game! A bit frustrating when you're forced to take a weapon that's worse than what you're using, but the fun gameplay and the way buffs transfer to your new weapon make even that scenario fun to play around. Good job!
Thanks for playing! Im happy to know you had fun!
My intentions with the forced "pick a gun" rooms where to promote build variety.
But maybe in the future I could add a feature to keep the current gun for 1 key, who knows!
really impressive for a game made in 3 days!
gameplay was quite fun, although enemies felt a bit bullet spongy T.T
Thanks for trying it! It was more like 4 nights, and oooooh man the last night was hardcore hahaha.
I think that more than enemies being very tanky, I think some weapons were lacking the damage. But I will still consider your comment when I update the game in the future, because I will! I actually liked how it ended up looking.
