Cool game! The different weight, money ratios and ghosts all added interesting depth to the gameplay.

I love the robot, but it gives me Among Us flashbacks. Controls are great and animations are smooth. Great game!
Really nice looking game, I especially like the dynamic lighting effects and character animations. I never saw any ghosts in my run though. I would make those more occurring. I like that the concept does not need a lot of explaining, you pick things up as you go, and you may discover something sinister. The gameplay could use a bit of polish, but hey we only got a week. Good job.
Cool game! I liked the concept and the graphics were nice. It was really fun to play and I enjoyed the little touches like walking slower with some of the items and the items not being visible when you can't see in the room. Good job! :D
Good to hear that you liked the Art and the Concept. The Player animation probably looks so good because it took me like half a day to do it right. The rest of the sprites didn't take me nearly as much time, but I am happy with how it turned out.
I definitely plan to do more with it because I think there is a lot of potential.
And thank you for your feedback and for playing my Game.
I think a damage sound and animation would help to make the ghosts more threatening since you could feel the damage they do more that way.
The idea is unique and the art is very beautiful, specially the player animation! About the gameplay, when I placed the dog on the portal, its sprite was increasingly bigger! I don't know it that was intentional, but eventually it covered the portal. I gave a few tries and got around that bug. Nonetheless, good game!
the gameplay gets repetitive and slow otherwise it's a good pixel art and polished game
Nice game, but a bit slow, got about 3-4k and turned it off, thought there was nothing more to the game, saw your description that there are ghosts, played some more, ran from ghosts, got 4.1k. got game complete screen, haven't seen any storm.
The Ghost definitely could use some rework if I would continue the development, and there really isn't a Storm, it's more like a warning and if you don't listen to the warning you just die.
But that's pretty much i, I originally wanted this Game to have some more interesting features, but there was not enough time to add them.
And I should have playtested more.
But thank you for playing my game regardless, and I appreciate your feedback. With all your critiques, that's really useful to know.
Good job. However, you should really list your controls somewhere. It took me a minute to figure out which key to press to pick up items.
Cool idea! I especially enjoyed the style & animations of the robot; well done on making that from scratch!
Constructive feedback:
- It took me quite a while until I encountered any ghosts - I feel like making it so that the player encounters them sooner (and potentially adding more ghosts) would result in them feeling like more of a threat.
- I never felt a sense of urgency when encountering a ghost - I could take my time to outmaneuver it and make my way back to the portal. A potential idea could be that carrying an item would slow you down a bit more, so that you have to decide whether to drop the item, or take the risk and continue to the portal.
Overall, a really solid base that you can build on. Well done! I'm looking forward to checking it out again in the future if you plan on updating it further.
Thank you for your good and detailed feedback.
I know that the Ghosts are in need of a few improvements, but your ideas are good.
But I definitely want to do more with the game after the Jam.
Thinks I would like to add, would be:
- Multiplayer
- More variety in Enemies (including Designs and behavior)
- Better and more Visuals
- Sound effects
- And procedural generated maps to keep it interesting
- More Layers to the Map like a cellar or a roof
I don't fully know how realistic this is, but it can't hurt to try
This game has a really great vibe to it! The animations on the robot feel really smooth and polished, movement feels great, I love the little touch you did with the lighting when you pass through a door.
I think this is a good base for a real atmospheric experience if you want to keep working on it after the jam!
why the things got huge when i put them in the portal
+what can i do with the money
