How does your game fit the theme?
The game starts out a normal visual novel only for the main character to go through physical and mental turmoil because of a major event.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I did all the code from scratch. The assets were free to use or give given for me to use.

Wow I'm surprised you could write all this dialogue in time!! Love the toast in the mouth trope. Great work!!

Visual novels aren't common in jams surprised you managed to write all the dialog and get the decision tree as full as it was.

I had a bit more time and was able to play this game. I got two of the endings, and I think you did well on this game. Liked the story, multiple endings, and the graphics and music fit very well. Nice job! I might even consider playing it more if I can to check for more endings. The premise is very interesting and the game does a good job keeping interest to try and figure out what's going on.

Pretty cool visual novel and cool endings, great work :)

Fun to see a visual novel in the jam! Props for building a whole story and branching paths!

Diabolical stuff, can't be caught with this one lol!

Love the multiple endings! However, I think the UI on the main menu and under the text which allow you to put on audio should be clearer. Music a touch to loud in my opinion.

Quite surprised to see a visual novel within this list of submissions, but I can't say that it doesn't work! The story extends the theme to heart, wondering about the aftereffects of the storm (explosion) and how people respond to them if they survived. I really love the detail given to the alternative endings, especially the one for wandering in the school to meet the ghost. That might have moved me emotionally more than the main story.

That being said, the three things that I took issue with are the lack of highlighting characters in dialogue scenes, the lack of soundtrack shifting, and the abundant use of lyric tracks. The most prominent example of this was in the second chapter when Eishin meets the three girls in the bunker, where he was talking with all three. The three shared their names, but I was very confused as to who was who until very later on because no one was in focus in the scene. The constant lyric track in the background didn't help my focus on reading the story, with it often interfering my reading and not matching the tone of the instantaneous moment.

There were also spelling and tense mistakes, but, as a fellow writer, I know that to be a comparatively pedantic error to point out.

Very cool visual novel! Lots of unexpected endings, a lot of thought went into this.

Yours looks like it's a longer game to me so I have skipped rating it for now and might want to see if I have some point where I have more time to play it before rating it.

The intro music sounds pretty cool, looks like from the credits it's original music, and it sounds really awesome.

One problem I noticed already is that the red text on the left is hard to see, I almost thought the game wasn't working at all and could barely see the start button, but then I saw it and could click it.

It's not game breaking so it shouldn't be changed during the jam, but it's something I noticed and if you were to continue working on this game after the jam, that might be a good place to start.

Playing through the beginning quickly it already looks really interesting so I might want to see if I could play it at some point when I have more time.

If it's a type of game that has multiple endings I might want to try to get at least 1 before rating, or at least try to see if I could play this game for as long as I can before rating it.

So far it looks pretty interesting though, nice job!

A subscriber of made made the music for me and I based the story off of it. The text was originally white to make it easier to see but when you quite the game it made that option look like there was not one because it became invisible.

I have not played a Visual Novel before and therefore do not know, what you can ‘normally’ expect of the genre but that is quite a story (in a positive sense) :D

‘It is a whole new world’ as some characters put it.

Thanks for creating it and I hope you had fun participating in the jam.

(The ‘Will Be Randomly Playing, Reviewing, or Streaming Your Games’ Community topic pulled me in)

Incredible game! It’s clear a lot of thought and care went into every aspect, from the gameplay to the aesthetics. It’s truly a joy to play.

Really impressed by how much content you put together in such a short amount of time! Not super familiar with visual novels but I enjoyed my time with it.
