Developer

Thanks!!

Great game fun to play love the art and the aspect of the music changing for the different types of characters.

This game is fantastic! I love the colors and the character designs. The music is a lot of fun too! Well done! I'm giving your whole team a follow.

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Theme, art and music are ON POINT! I would just fix the timing of the nots to be on the down beat. And if you do use melody make them repeatable riffs. Great job!

Developer (2 edits)

Thank you so much for playing!

I saw you playing it on your stream as well, it was very cool! Unfortunately, I wonder if the WebGL version introduced some latency to the note timings? Cause the majority of the notes in those first levels are timed to the beat and in your stream, it looked like something wasn't properly synced

The Windows version should not have those same issues, so I'd suggest giving that a go if you ever feel like giving the game a second try :)

But I really appreciate the feedback! Some of those notes were in fact offbeat ones that I threw in to try to make it a bit more challenging but it's great feedback to know I should maybe be more careful with it

Developer(+1)

Hey, as Afonso, said, the webgl version surely introduced some latency (partially due to how things were implemented, so you can say it was a bug)

As I think it can be considered as a game breaking bug for the webgl version, in accordance to Brackeys Jam Rules, I just updated the game so that it was less of a problem

All the timings of the tracks are still the same and have not been changed (as it wouldn't be a bug)

Thanks again for the stream & feedback!

I played on normal mode and it was great! The music and visuals are amazing, five stars easily!

Thank you!

Nice Rhythm game,  and let it be noted I suck at Rhythm games

The circle slow and speed up is a nice twist, had me through a loop, im already bad at these types of games and it made it more challenging, don't know why I decided to play on hard right away ahah

1) song is great

2) art is top tier

3) really please when I saw an addition for a shop and spend currency for upgrades, not something you see a lot in rhythm games.

4) however after the shop, I think it was the same song again? I'd like to see 2-3 songs in a game like this. Maybe there was more and I missed it or maybe my ears just thought it was the same song

Keep jamming team, this one is great the highlight is the rocking song, the beautiful art work and a snappy rhythm game mechanic

Developer

Thank you!

As far as the number of songs, currently in the game, there are 4 (or 2, depending on how you want to count them) songs - 3 different versions of the song that switch around during the rhythm section and the main menu/shopping song

I would've loved to add more songs so you could have more options during the rhythm sections, but within a week I quickly ran out of time

In any case, I appreciate you playing it and I'm glad you liked it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Im a 14 years old boy, who created a game while learning godot while ALSO participating in a game jam, it was super hard, but I guess I nailed it, and Im looking for people to rate my game aswell as feedback it, and as someone noble, I will do the same with you, and if I didnt comment, it means your game is actually perfect for all my needs, or IM just not very critics-full, anyway, have a good day:

I really loved this game, the music and the chill stage

Really loved the art and music, very well done! The gameplay flowed well, but some of the note patterns were a bit tricky, especially with the rhythm. Maybe adding more variety in the key presses could make it more engaging. Overall, great job!

Submitted(+1)

This game is really creative, and the art is great. Maybe more variation in required keypresses would make it more fun. Like holding buttons and different keys. I really like the item design, and the overall game is very solid.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We definitely had a plan to add more variety to it but, as is the nature of game jams, time wasn't on our side

Submitted(+1)

I love the art and character designs, and the music was great too! The game felt pretty good for a rhythm game, though some of the note patterns felt less intuitive because they followed an unexpected part of the syncopated beat.

Well done for the game, it was fun!

Developer

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback on the note patterns as well, balancing them wasn't easy given the constant song switches but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway

I loved the art, but somehow ingame it felt a bit strange, but I can't quite put my finger down on why. Maybe because of the thick white outlines? Maybe you could have added some drop shadows? It all felt a bit like "placeholder art". But i liked it alot anways :)

A finished and well-polished game is a rare-find in this events, and though the concept is simple, the implementation is excelent, the game is beautiful and fun, and there is room for strategy too. From the begining i decided to forget that i suck and striked for the excelence and got to the 9th place on your boards on the first try. Noice!

Developer

Thank you so much for the comment and I'm glad you did well! There's always time to climb a few spots

Very good looking game. I like the music in this game the most.

The gameplay is fine, I think there are also certain intended challenges like not labeling numbers on notes and switching the instrument mid-game.

Developer

I appreciate it!

Beautiful art, very stylish game!

super fun! love the angsty rocker boy who came in in the cool part of the song XD

Submitted(+2)

The graphics and audio are great

Developer

Thank you!

The beat adapting to the vibe blended well together

Submitted(+3)

The art style is great! I also love the different types of music and how they transition/switch up. Maybe I have a bad sense of rhythm or need to adjust the delay more, but it seemed like the timings were off.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks!
I might recommend you to play it on windows then, webgl may cause some problems because of the inherent lag it has

Developer

Thank you for giving it a shot! If you played on the web I'd also suggest the Windows version, WebGL can cause some latency issues
