Really good game. Really liked the art style.

The frog is so cute and the game has been a lot of fun. Loved it. This is a very polished game.

Hey! Kudos! Out of 30-ty-something games I reviewed so far, your's is first one to feel like you actually spend a week working on it. Most of the games feel like they were mode in a day or two somehow :D Awesome style, nice mechanics, responsive controls. Fruit of love

ncredible work! The game is fun, immersive, and full of unique ideas. The attention to detail really sets it apart. Congratulations on delivering such a memorable experience!

Submitted(+3)

Very well made, even the simple act of jumping is very satisfying. This could've easily become a foddian game, but the rising water is probably for the best for a jam game. The art and music are fantastic too. Very good overall, congrats!

Submitted(+1)

Short, sweet, cute and really well done. It's quite a fun concept. The art is nice and music and sounds sound great! Really solid submission!

Submitted(+1)

The artwork is beautiful, and the gamplay is really fun!

The frog is so cute <3

Very cool game, got through it to the end, didn't break any records but did my best! (3:46) I thought I'd see who had what scores, but leaderboard doesn't load :(

The artwork is awesome, the gameplay and idea is awesome! I love this game!

Developer

Thank you for playing! There's a bug that happens sometimes with the leaderboard at the end of the run where it isn't loading scores. As far as I know we haven't diagnosed the cause of that yet but if you go back to the main menu you can see them by clicking the leaderboard button. That should show the full leaderboard. You are 56th! Nice! One of our devs still holds top spot but there are several people getting close to taking it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for Following up on this. I made a ticket for this for us to address it.

Submitted(+3)

Really fun, and the frog is adorable.

Developer

Aw thanks so much for trying it out!

Submitted(+2)

This is brilliant, I had a great time playing this. The frogs are really cute and I really like the hopping mechanic. Nice job!

Developer

Really appreciate you spending the time playing our game! I had a ton of fun creating the frog, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This was such a great game, one of the few games I spent a while playing. I really didn't like the inverted launching direction, but other than that I can't think of anything bad about this game. I love the rising water mechanic as a way to reduce rage, can definitely see a full game out of this. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to play! We went back and forth on the controls for this but decided on inverted so that its playable on mobile! It was a calculated resignation, as we knew some players would find it frustrating.

Submitted(+2)

Only issue I had was trying to direct the frog in the right direction, loved everything else!

Developer(+1)

Definitely understand that! Thanks for the feedback and thanks so much for giving it a try!

Submitted(+2)

Absolutely phenomenal. Love the aesthetic, as well as how the rising water encourages you to keep moving but doesn't quite spell the end for your journey even if it catches up to you. Very chill and fun game! (only time I ever got a little annoyed was when the harsh winds kicked in right as I was about to jump and sent me careening the other way lol)

Developer

Ha! You are not the only one who got annoyed by the winds. I'm pretty terrible at the game and getting stuck in inclement weather was pretty frustrating for me too! Really glad you loved the aesthetic though and I hope you weren't too discouraged from trying to reach the top! Thanks for playing!

Amazing game! I think it's the best I've played so far. Audio is 6/5, very lovely. Art, gameplay and theme very well respected! My only small little feedback would be to have a very basic "text/visuals" tutorial at the start, to explain that you can have different jump strength depending on your mouse drag. But it's a minor thing and controls are very straightforward & easy to learn without a tutorial too. Good job on the gamejam 👏🎊

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback. I think you are totally right. Something to tell the player that they can vary the jump distance would be super helpful. We tried to create areas where it wouldn't be possible to continue without the small jump but I could understand how not telegraphing that could be frustrating. Thanks again for taking the time to try it out and for your invaluable feedback!

Submitted(+4)

Great game. I would like the jump to be more accurate though.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! A more accurate representation of trajectory was definitely something that was on our list of fixes but that deadline came fast!

Developer

Hey! I captured your feedback in a ticket. Could you possibly tell me a little more about what you mean? Do you specifically mean that the visual representation of the jump when jumping out of the water doesn't seem to match the actual jump trajectory? TY!

You can see the issue here:

Yes, the visual representation thing.

Unbelievably amazing!  The art, gameplay, sound, the entire thing is so amazing!  And the global leaderboard will make me want to come back!  Great job!

Developer

Wow! What a raving review :) Really glad you enjoyed it!

Developer

Had to come back to say you were sooooo close to high score! Less than a second off! Congrats!

Submitted(+1)

Thanks!

Submitted(+1)

I did it!!!  I beat the world record!  (And I have most of the top 10!!!!)

Developer(+1)

LETS GOOOOO!!!!! @Simpathey deserved to be knocked off her throne! Great job

I really enjoyed this game. I appreciated that the rising water level helped me when I would get stuck on a jump. I knew I wasn't going to get the best time, but I felt like I was accomplishing something each time I got a little bit more ahead of the rising water. The jump mechanic is great and the little frog is cute. Well done!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the little frog :) I'm also glad that the rising water mechanic was being utilized. It was one of the first things we thought of when deciding on this style of game. Thanks so much for playing!

Submitted(+3)

That's some immaculate level design. This could be the core of a bigger, full blown game for sure.

Developer

Totally agree! With the backlog of features that we thought up and stowed due to scope creep, it definitely could be a full feature :P Thanks for taking the time to play it!

Submitted(+2)

Wow I really liked this one, the atmosphere was really cool with the great looking art and awesome sounding music. The weather effects like wind work well and make an added challenge, and the controls are smooth and clean. The water level rising and how jumping out of the water works felt really good. The leaderboard is also a very strong point of this game. Nice job, really cool game!

Developer

The music surprised the whole tam, honestly. Our composer really nailed it. I'm glad you really enjoyed the core mechanics. We were thoughtful about what to cut out and what to keep in. We had so many ideas for this!

Submitted(+2)

Very cool mechanics and aesthetics.  Very cozy and relaxing - until i fall from like 40m

Developer(+1)

Hopefully the water being there to give you a little boost helped curb the frustration :P I am the worst on the whole team at the game and I know I really appreciated the rising water! hahah thank you so much for giving it a try!

Submitted(+1)

I came back to finish later! Even with some falls the game is still very cozy, and the sound design is amazing

Developer(+1)

Awesome! I am really glad it brought you back!
