Cool game. Haven’t played many rhythm games. The note indicators were clear enough in this one that I managed to get a good share of “Excellent” timing :) Not sure why I couldn’t buy some items in the shop, although I had enough money. Liked the art and themed items. Good job overall!

This is brilliant! Rhythm games aren't easy to make, let alone during a one week period. I really like the dynamic music, and the art is stunning. You've done a really great job here, nice work!

(Sorry for the long comment haha)

I’m a person who likes rhythm games (and currently playing daily proseka) even if I’m bad haha, since I saw a roguelike rhythm game, I wanted to try this and finally I could

The 1st time I tried on hard and without change much the options and I didn’t have much fun, then later I tried again because usually I have to give a few chances to this kind of game to get used to how the game is and now I had a lot of fun (and this kind of happens with every rhythm game I try and I get annoyed at my own skill hahaha)

The art is pretty. I really liked that, in my 1st run I could see it while I tried to follow the line of buttons, probably I’ll play on easy next to see it better but I think it’s in my top from the games I have tried this jam

Also the music, I really like this concept of depending on the client, the music changes and it’s creative, I think the only downside for me is that I follow more the music by ear than my eyes and the music that sounds like a club, 1st run I couldn’t hear the tempo so I got lost easily, in my second gameplay, I noticed that it’s a bass that sounds very quiet. And sometimes it got easier to follow depending on the song and the part, which it’s part of the music changing but throws me off at times, which it’s ok, I just need to get used to it. Also, I would like to listen to each song on its own only to see how it sounds when you run it entirely, I like them all :D

Since I only played 2 times, I didn’t use much of the store items, I didn’t see much use of them since always you have to aim for the Excellent in this kind of game, so I only buy the ones that give you more money on Excellent, and reducing the note duration I don’t know how it affects if you know you have to press the button at 1 specific time if you listen to the song (but I’m a casual at this kind of game that never moves much the config of the game so don’t listen to me much in this part hahaha)

In general, I really liked this game and probably I’ll play it maybe once per day just to get better since I want to or I want to play enough until I feel good with my performance in the last 2 levels of the run. I’ll leave the only 2 runs I did, both on hard and in the second run I only remove the opacity and change the button. I didn’t encounter any bug, but would be nice that even if you remove the opacity, in the shop you could keep seeing the store and not just black haha, I think it’s the only suggestion and if you keep working on this, let me know to keep track of this game. Great game! ^^

Oh, also, would be nice to change the color of the red circles to any color, just for more customization

Glad you liked it!

For the transparency part, my bad, I didn't think about the shopping part at all haha

For the items, there are 3 types of items generated:
- Those neutral (for example that gives you more money for a certain type of customers, and less for another)
- Those that make the game easier overall (makes it harder to get excellent, or to earn money, but easier to hit great notes for example)
- Those that make the game harder overall (gives you more money, but notes get harder to hit)

So the goal is that:
- if you think it's too easy, you can increase the difficulty to get more money
- if it's to hard and are missing too many notes, you can make it easier by decreasing the difficulty and get more money that way
- if the difficulty is good for you, you can try to optimize your earnings with neutral items

Talking about customization, if you download the game, you can actually change the musics and make your own map by modifying the jsons in the save folder (somewhere in %appdata)

Oh, I see, nice to know this about the items/store :o

And probably I won’t change the song, I downloaded to play it but I like it as it is now haha

Very rare to see a rhythm game on these, very cool!

Love the artstyle!

I was playing fine on HARD even on WebGL version but I got sick of the same track and stopped playing.
I honestly would prefer different tracks over having a shop + music changing with different customers.
Nice visuals and polish overall. I wish I could enjoy the game more to play until the leaderboards.

Also I never understood why last 3 items in shop are locked but that's probably my dumb brain.

Thanks for the entry! You did really good, I'm sorry I couldn't stand the reptition in music, I'm a musician myself and I appreciate all the effort you put in.

Really interesting to see a "relic" style system in a rhythm game, I think that has a lot of potential.  I felt like some of the notes weren't telegraphed in the music, but I don't spend a lot of time in rhythm games.  Absolutely beautiful art.

Wow it was really a beautiful game. I loved art style and  had a lot fun while playing it. Cool game <3

Its beautiful! ;_; a beautiful rhythm game... love it!

Cool game. The changing music based on the customers is a pretty cool idea, but the thing i like most is honestly the shop. Its cool to have a rhythm game where you can modify your rewards/difficulty, and having to adjust to meet your customer daily base is pretty interesting. I had a bit of a hard time understanding why i could or couldn't buy some items though. Could be a nice game for sure if expanded out, maybe with different rhythm challenges or something else to shake it up.

Quite fun game, with cool audio, and amazing graphics, great job!

great audio and art, the gameplay is simple but fun. Nice game <3

This game was really fun and enjoyable to master! The music especially was good, and the general melody was catchy enough that it worked well even with the genre changes.

At most, I think the approach circle for the notes can be in a different color as I felt like at times the circle tends to blend in with the background, thus becoming hard to read. But despite that, I was still able to play well and I even reached rank 5!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

If you think it's blending with the background, there's an option in the menu to make it darker, and hence, solving that issue for you :)

And glad you liked the game!

Submitted(+1)

Ohh I didn't notice that option the first time haha. Looks like I might find myself trying to climb the leaderboard again soon. Thank you!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

I won't pretend I'm any good at rhythm games but did end up finding out that there's no penalty for spamming  Q!

Was a bit confused when pressing A it just quit to main menu again for me, Q seemed to be the correct button to use, would not make them so close though, made me restart a few times by accident!

I did really like the music with the real-time instrument changing based on the customers present. Might try something like that in a future jam myself :P

Aze-qwerty issue's & my inability to do any rhythm  aside, it's a very pretty game, gratz to the artist!

Also liked the text-effects on stuff like text effects when hitting perfect nodes too :P the few times I managed to get them.. xd

Also good job on the itch page simple, clean and easy to look at / read.

Developer(+1)

You can always press space Space for hitting the notes haha
Mostly just added A in the first place in the center of QTEs, for gamepad potentially, but didn't have much time, and it looked worse without it (Space not fitting)

And thanks for the feedback!

Submitted

Ooh thanks for letting me know, space would indeed be a much better button to use :D

Submitted(+1)

Charming, absolutely charming!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Very cute game! Really dig the artstyle and the soundtrack. Would be great if it actually showed the button you assigned during gameplay.

Developer

Wanted to do that, but realized it was tricky since if you assign "Space" for example, the text can easily go out of the QTE
But yeah, would be ideal

Really nice game everything was so good together build. I had problems with the surfers(the yellow and orange people) they sync so horrible than the others not bad , but I couldn't get a hang of them.

Besides that idk but I only could pick of 3 things instead of 6 in the shop?

I wanted to play until the end 10 stages but I accidentally pressed quit cause I have an "azerty" keyboard xD.

Maybe next time for jam games make 5 stages instead of 10 cause that take long time to do over again.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

For the shop, some items give you access to these locked shop item slots :)

Space also works for hitting keys

And yeah, was thinking about reducing the amount of levels, but tbh when I play, I feel like it's closer to 5 than 10 for some reason haha

Thanks for the feedback about the yellow and orange guys in particular too

Submitted

Thanks for the explaining, btw I really wanne try making a rythm game myself but don't know how to do or start. So you can always reach out to me if you have a good knowledge about it to explain me stuff how to do xD

Submitted(+1)

I thought I would only play this for a while, but I really enjoyed it. I wanted to create the perfect excellent-focus build and I was a bit sad that I could only get three items, I wish I could have 20+ items. I also wish the grudgy part of the song before 3-2-1 lets go would sync better, it was always there I lost my excellent streak.

Great great great sound and art, really well done.

Polished and nice, would love more features in the future!
