How does your game fit the theme?
The game perfectly fits the theme: the 'calm' represents the fishermen's hope for success as they hunt a large group of fish, arriving after a nearby storm. The 'storm' is what catches the fishermen by surprise.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, we made all the assets from scratch.
(Except an image we edited on the end screen)

The story is great and I have to say it's nice you actually made everything from scratch. Good job!

Thanks!

nice art and you really gave notice to small deatils for example the air sound it got weaker every time i closed one of the open places and when the sea got stronger so you shaked the bar of fishing. the story was good.

i would be more than happy if you will try (and rate) my game. here it is.

my game: who took my son? where am i?

here is a screen shot so you will know how good is my game :)

For such a time you had for the game, you made a really good and deep visual novel here. I really like visual novels so your game was no exception to it.

Developer

Thanks! Really appreciated it!

A really nice cozy story-line game. The Piano background music is kinda loud and got me for the first time but in general it fits the game and the story. I love the game my man, keep it up !

Developer

Thanks a lot, appreciated it!

I loved this! The story was really emotional, I wish I could go back to my family :'( also I loved the wobbly fish catching mechanic when the storm got worse

Thanks, glad you liked it!

Enjoyable! The fishing game felt a bit off, I had to press the button way ahead of the yellow bar, but once I figured it out it was easy. Didn't see that ending coming lol, pretty sad. Story was really good, I had fun with this. Great job!

Developer

Thanks! I probably needed to make the fishing a bit easier, but glad you enjoyed it!

Great implementation of the theme! One minor note from me - the text shouldn't move while you're reading it, especially when pressing E to make it go faster. If you're in the middle of a sentence and press E, you suddenly lose your spot.

Developer

Thanks, noted!

Great gam here especially in a week, smooth good gameplay good use of sound and art is great too. One note was the music being really loud so a slider would have been nice however i just lowered my headset volume in general and it was all good

Developer

Thanks! If we had more time we would have probably added a settings menu!

Very interesting storyline and gameplay. Mini game was fun, a bit hard towards the end but still enjoyable. Would totally recommend checking this game out!

Damn this is one of the better submissions i saw

genuinely a nice sad story with short gameplay and really cool asthetics. very nice!

oh but i felt the fishing minigame was kinda hard but idk maybe i just suck lmao

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it! Maybe I should've lowered the difficulty of the last fishing minigame lol

Submitted(+1)

Nice job on the animations, audio and fitting the theme! I liked the gameplay too, but man was the last fishing game annoying lol.

Developer

Thanks for commenting! Yeah I should've probably lowered the difficulty of the last fishing mini game, other than that glad you've liked it!
