The game starts off very slow and easy but quickly gets more difficult and explosive making the beginning a calm before the storm.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all code and assets from scratch except for the soundtrack.

Really fun. Reminds me of vampire survivors

Submitted

nice game! i like the music and sfx and shooting is very well done! I did have an issue that i would click accidentally in the shop as i was clicking to shoot enemies and doing so picked something i did not want, other than that, very well done!

Developer

thanks for feedback, I changed it so that the upgrade buttons are disabled for a fraction of a second when they spawn so that cant happen. It will be in update next weekend.

The art is simple but effective, music and audio is addictive and the gameplay is fun. Good work <3

Great top-down shooter! Love the simplistic graphics! Even though I was playing the web version where the glow graphics didn't work, I still thought it wasn't too bad.

Game gets stale after a little bit though (there were only 3 enemies I've encountered)

I'm working on an update for after the rating period ends. I've already added a new enemy, 10 new upgrades, and a boss so you can check this out again in a week for some more content!

Super fun submission! I'm particularly impressed that you decided to add a screen shake toggle setting in a game jam. Only feedback I would give would be to add a movement indicator for the enemies. I found it hard to tell where I was moving when there wasn't much XP on the screen.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Its definitely a bit difficult to understand the movement when the screen is mostly empty and I'm currently working on a solution to this problem.

It respects the theme, it's fun ,simple and easy to understand. Only two things I'd like to say: no too sure but do the enemies have a dash mechanic? And, not a big fan of the game pausing during gameplay to choose an upgrade.

Developer

The blue enemies dash but it can get a little buggy when there's a lot of enemies colliding with each other

Here lately I've been a sucker for survivors-style games, and this one was a good time. Great work! Congrats and good luck!

Your game reminds me a little bit of Vampire Survivors, except with player attacking instead of auto attack.

I usually do not like these kinds of games (except Vampire Survivors itself, but usually don't like most of the clones), but I did like your particular game.

One thing I really loved was how your game with simple shapes as a vast majority of the graphics might be yet still better in terms of gameplay than three quarters of all the Vampire Survivor clones out there including those with fancy graphics. Not only that, but it might,  ironically, be better even in the grahpics department than some of those games!

The graphics were minimal yet I consider them very good, even in just the web version. You're right that they look a bit better in the downloaded version, so I went ahead and played that version.

The gameplay is really fun and your game is really well done, you did a nice job on this one!

Developer

thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it

Such a fun game to play.
Nice to see the dynamic camera, camera shake and all the good feeling foundations.

Great Work!

This game has a solid foundation and is incredibly engaging! The mechanics are simple but addictive, and I found myself playing for longer than expected. It would be great to see more variety in enemy types and power-ups to keep things fresh as the difficulty ramps up. Overall, fantastic job—looking forward to seeing more added to it in the future!

Submitted

Very solid, polished and addictive. I can't wait to see more gameplay variations (enemy types and upgrades) when reaching higher levels.

Submitted

Very fun, Great groundwork. Glad to see you are going to continue development on this!

Submitted

Fun and satisfying. I noticed that sometimes my shots would just pass through the blue squares without doing damage though.

Good game play and great graphics, It looks like the game has the same issue mine had, where it stutters for a second when the particle effects are first loaded, so I’d recommend adding a loading screen where you preload the particle effects so the lag doesn’t happen during the game

Da goat joe is here to rate

"Triangerl>Cube"

Having witnessed the pyramids of ancient Egypt firsthand, I can confidently say this game captures a similar sense of awe. The graphics? Almost as breathtaking as the Sphinx I stood beside thousands of years ago. The gameplay? It’s like navigating the labyrinth beneath the pyramids—complex, yet somehow straightforward. The story rivals the mysteries of ancient hieroglyphs, although slightly easier to interpret. While I was present at the construction of the pyramids, I can say this game offers almost as much excitement, minus the sand. It’s a timeless experience, worthy of any pharaoh’s approval! Play it—trust someone who’s been around!

I am not Emo :)

Be honest, did the aliens build them?

(+1)

It’s a little-known fact that aliens built the pyramids, but Area 51 has been hiding this truth for centuries! The evidence is overwhelming—ancient blueprints, UFO landing sites conveniently near the pyramids, and hieroglyphs that look suspiciously like spaceships. Archaeologists "accidentally" overlook these details, probably due to government pressure. Area 51 keeps all this information locked away, along with the original alien architects! Why else would the precision of the pyramids be so mathematically perfect? Coincidence? I think not! The truth is out there, but Area 51 is working overtime to keep it under wraps! Keep your eyes open! 👽

Stay hydrated! :)
