Nice little game! I liked the levels with height difference the most.

This game is like Super Monkey Ball but without the ball lol. The player felt consistent to control and I didn't experience any bugs with movement. The art all followed a consistent style which gave the game a cohesive feel. I found the gameplay to be more than a bit meh and wish you had put more of your own twist on things. I also struggle to see how it meets the theme of "calm before the storm" at all. Overall, I think you did well to complete your game and submit a well-running game with a clear game design and artstyle. I think if you tapped into your creativity a bit more you could make something really interesting! Keep up the good work!

I'm glad I tried this game.

It was a chill game to play. Not sure how it incorporates the theme. but well done for submitting the game. I like the music choice

Well done on the submission!

Constructive feedback:

  • I feel like the character controller & camera could do with some work:
    • I'd look into implementing some form of acceleration/deceleration for general player movement.
    • The player jump feels really heavy here, I'd experiment with allowing a higher jump with a gradual decent.
    • The clamp on the cameras vertical rotation felt quite restrictive, and especially made moving down platforms quite worrisome; I couldn't see where I was going to be landing.

The art style is simple but for some reason this game looks and feels pretty great! It's a little too easy for me and the theme is a stretch, but good job overall.

honestly I enjoyed this game, I like the jumping, lvl design could be improved.. you can skip a lot of platforming.  as for the theme im not too sure.

Im really not sure about the theme haha but otherwise good job. I do like the aesthetic of the game

An interesting gameplay, but i dont think the theme fits there?
Also all the levels kinda look the same..
But would love if you check my game too :D

this is a great start for a potentially cool project, but not sure how it fits the theme without the context of reading your "how it fits the theme" answer 😅

this game is cool platformer but no theme fit or that what i see + can u rete my game, please?

Submitted(+1)

The theme fitting is a stretch here, but its a good setup for a platformer game that could easily be expanded if you so wanted to. Nice work!

Interesting gameplay, the music loop i think it can be better, cool design <3

Interesting concept. Gameplay was very straight forward and controls felt decent. I noticed that if I use the mouse to rotate the camera, I have to tab out and back in to get my mouse pointer back after the level is done. Either way, great job! Congrats and good luck!

I've tried my hand at making a character who can walk on slopes and it ain't easy so well done on that end. More audio and a looping theme would've made things better I think.
