Exactly what it says on the tin. Definitely no subversion of the stated premise.

Just came back to see how you did, and wow! 8th for Innovation and 27th for fun out of 1500+ entries! Amazing work, you deserve it :)

Thanks! :)

Well done. Good foreshadowing slipping in odd little facts about the narrator over the game. Still did not see it coming.

fun engaging dialogue and so entertaining to see my drawings come to life! here's my 'elephant' haha

Developer

Amazing. Thank you for playing and for sharing your drawing!

I loved the story for this, really fantastic game!

Nice dialogue! It went kinda in the direction I expected. When the cage appeared, I played CTRL+Z a few times and then the game window closed. Not sure if that's how it was supposed to end.

This game has a charming simplicity that really draws you in, reminiscent of KinitoPET! I appreciated the fun mechanics, and I’m curious about what pressing enter after drawing might lead to—could be worth another playthrough! Great work overall!

It's a cool game, reminds me a little bit of some elements of the game KinitoPET. This is pretty cool, simple but can work really well, I really liked it!

One thing I realize I didn't try is during the last part, I didn't press enter after drawing, I wonder if that might have done something different such as lead to another ending. I might consider to play it again at some point and see what happens. Nice job on this!

Loved it, the humour made it easy to get along even though it's a text based the game. I like how the theme fits and how the story evolves. The only feedback I could give is give some indicator of damage in the fight, as y didn't really know if i was getting anywhere. Besides that, amazing entry! This should really have more ratings and be on the top games in my opinion

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the kind words! That's a good piece of feedback, too.

I guess I belong to you now. 5 stars on everything, master. lol.

Loved it. Was super cute and awesome. Also, named myself poop boob and only drew funny stuff. Made me laugh. hahah. Loved it. I wonder...I dont wanna ruin it for anyone else but I wanna ask... if you choose win/lose condition and then the ending comes later, are there two endings or just the one inevitable end? I think thats a way to ask without leaving a spoiler...

Developer

Wow! Thank you, poop boob!

To answer your question, the choices only influence the dialogue responses.

I adore this game, I loved the cozy part and also the tempest ;) Such an interesting idea, good job!

Thank you! I loved your game, too.

such a cozy game, definitely no crazy plot twists

This was a fun little game!

I do think it was too easy though, since you can just stand still and draw the same line over and over to win. It could be interesting with some kind of meter or other limitation for drawing or if attacks were layered

Developer

100%. I ran out of time to tinker with that. But I'll definitely go back and work on balancing it. Those are good suggestions! Thank you for playing, and for your feedback.

i won't lie- i went into playing the game only expecting the drawing game and it not sticking to the theme that well. needless to say my expectations were heavily subverted. one of the coolest concepts i've seen in a game; just in general! this is awesome, great work :)

Developer

Thank you so much!

Cool game ! There were much more than i imagined

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Haha nice, I didn't expect the game to actually make it rain if I said I want a win/lose challenge!  Cool concept :D

Developer

Thank you!

Nice Game! Question: is there a game over / survived screen? If yes, the game froze after i defeated him.

I like that i can draw and the projectiles bounce off.

Developer

Thank you! To answer your question: the game resets once you win, but I definitely didn't make it obvious enough what you're supposed to do in order to trigger that.

Music Composer here, so I'll just comment on the audio!
I really liked the choice of calm music at the beginning (while the game was friendly!), and the choice of "storm" music was appropriate too. (theme was "the calm before the storm" afterall!). However... there was a period of silence in-between the two tracks, that could have done with a bit of suspenseful music as the player realises that the game isn't what it seems. Just my 2 cents. W game idea though!
