Really fun! I loved how you'd lose wheels and it would actually effect the movement of the car! It really helped to scale the difficulty and just lead to a great time! Graphics and audio are on point! Menu UI's a little plain, but obviously that isn't a major issue. I had a good time!

If you'd like to check out my game, Donut Wholes, as well, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you for the feedback, please remember to rate my game as well!

I played yours and rated it too :)

Thanks!

Loved the game, and the wheel opening mechanic was a really nice touch, well done!

Developer

Thank you, that mechanic was very important to me, glad to hear you liked it as well.

Submitted

really nice game. could add some pace changes to increase the challenge though.

Developer

Thanks! Could you expand more on what you mean by pace? Like speed changes, the pothole layout, etc. Always love more feedback.

Submitted

yeah i meant speed changes.

Developer

The car slows down progressively as you lose each tire. Were you hoping there was an opportunity to go faster, more randomization, something else? Again, thank you for the feedback.

Submitted

I think progressive but random speedups would be nice.

Submitted

The game is very fun and take my a few attemps to win. Great Game!!

Developer

That's what I was hoping for! Thank you for the compliment.

Submitted

Feels like road fighter, nicely done, you may add randomness to velocity when tiles are gone also game maybe more challenging!

Developer

I've never played road fighter, I'll have to check it out! Do you mean random velocity in different directions or it just pulls harder/softer in 1 direction? Thank you for the kinds words and the feedback!

Submitted

The game is simple, but it still took me a couple tries to win. I love the way the amount of tires affected the gameplay.

Developer

That's exactly what I was hoping for, difficult enough to not win first try, but not so intimidating that you couldn't get it with a couple more. Thank you so much.

Submitted

Really great game, I enjoyed. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play it and the kind words!

Submitted

Fun, simple mechanic and I like the added element of being chased by the cop and blowing out tires, really creative. Controls felt good to me, all around really good stuff!

Developer

Was really worried about controls and I'm happy to hear you say that! It's hard to figure what feels "good".

Submitted

I totally agree, I had the same issue with my game. I think it’s hard because everyone wants something different for their own play style!

Submitted

i really enjoyed the game, and the art was good to!

Developer

Hey, thank you! Although I can't take full credit, the road/grass/trees were part of a Kenney pack, but the rest my friend and I created from scratch.

Submitted

This is a great game, I little bit challenging a the end. Great Work :)

Developer

Thank you! Do you think it was too challenging? My goal was to make the last moments sort of "tense" and increase the chances that you would barely roll over the finish line in time.

Submitted

Great game! very fun. It had me clicking the try again button.

Developer

Knowing that you felt compelled to keep trying is the best thing I could have hoped for, it really makes me happy to hear you say that.

Submitted

Great game, very fun, not a ton of features, but everything  you worked on was awesome and worked perfectly. It was very  cool the first time I blew out a tire, that was a creative idea.

Developer

Yeah tried to avoid the "feature creep" temptations with this one, wasn't 100% sure what I was going to be able to accomplish. Thank you so much for the kind words.

Submitted

Challenging, but not too difficult. Very cute and easy to grasp. I also liked the game mechanic of popping your 4 wheels and how it changes the controls. I had lots of fun!  I really liked the graphics but at some points the pixels are not equally big, especially visibile in the UI.  Really good job, I put  it  into  my   jam   favorites!  :)

Developer(+1)

Your favorites?! I'm blushing... Could you give me some more insight on the pixels and the UI? I think I get what you mean but I'd love to understand better so I can improve it.

Submitted

This is what I mean. See how one pixel of the UIs Sprite is waaay smaller than one pixel of the background. This is what makes it look kinda off. You did it right with 90% of the game but there are some examples like this, where the pixels should be the same size but aren't.

Developer(+1)

Ah! I understand now. Some art was hand made and a few things I got from Kenney assets. Didn't pay too much attention to matching the pixel size, super important and will be watching for that from now on. Thank you!

Submitted

Nice little game ! Maybe little easy but fun!

Developer

I agree! I thought of it as a first level of a game that could potentially have harder and harder levels. Although weirdly some people thought it was too challenging here as well. Does that mean I hit it in the middle or my game is all over the place lol.

Submitted

The pixel art is pleasing, the music is upbeat; gotta outrun the pigs am I right. The game was simple but made well.

I liked the mechanic where you swerve if you lost a wheel and thought it was hilarious when you lost all of them; the sound was great.

Would have enjoyed if the movement speed went faster the longer you went as well. That would have made it difficult and made it feel more arcadey.

Developer

Wow, thank you, that's a lot of good stuff! I wanted the car to move faster too, but I was finding it was causing my play testers motion sickness and I was kind of at the limit. The road had white lane stripes right up until the last day,  but they were pretty intense and to watch fly by without much else in the scene to "ground" the player.  Any advice on how I could give the game a "faster feel"?

Submitted

The easiest way would to be make the game object faster. Another way is to have the environment parallax faster and faster until you hit a pothole and just set the parallax speed back to the original speed. Or maybe a little speedometer to add more effect as well like they have a motor bike, turtle slow and rabbit fast and have a dial rotate towards how fast you are going; you could also just have a flat number based system as well showing the numbers incrementally get bigger to a max which would give the effect of going from slow to fast.

Submitted

Ha, love the midwestern car chase line. Dig it.

Developer

Ha maybe the joke concept was a little too "niche" for a worldwide audience, but I thought it was funny too. Thank you!

Submitted

The pixel art was nice. I liked the mechanic where you'd swerve if you lost a tire. Nice and simple. Great job man :)

Developer

That really makes me happy, the swerving was the beginning of the whole concept for me.

Submitted

The music added much needed extra spice to the game, the game overall looks great, love the pixel art

Developer

Hey thanks! Yeah listening to police sirens and the car engine by itself was driving me crazy, had to have music over it.

Submitted

Nice game !! Extra tyres only available when you have full tyres XD ... Great work !!! The music was also cool !! Congrats :D

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked the music. I agree, figuring out where to put the "Health Pickups" was challenging.
