In what way does your game fit the theme?
Player has ability to record his actions for a limited period. During this time, only player is able to move around and take actions (enemies are frozen).
If player stops recording, he will be rewound back to the original position where he started the recording.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all codes myself. Assets are also made by me from scratch except the music (not sound effects. Sound effects are also made/edited by me). Music is downloaded from OpenGameArts (CC0 license)

It has been said by other before but the landing needs some fine tuning, permadeath is pretty annoying IMO and it took me out of the fun. I love the graphics and the music and I think it has potential to become a great game :)
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed the art style of the game as well as the music! Yeah the realistic movement that I was originally aiming for didn't turn out to be as good as I expected. I tried designing the level in a way that only if player takes the harder path (also the faster) of the level, the player has to risk death. Regardless, I'll consider about the death consequences more carefully next time.
Nice game! The concept is awesome :)
The art is simple but looks nice, the concept fits really well the theme.
What bothered me were the player movement which stopped when in the air, making it feel really rough. The walk animation keeps playing a bit after stopping which makes it not clear if we're stopped or not sometimes.
I believe a better map design or guidance woud make the game more interesting as I easily got lost in the map by falling.
Overall great game with only small details that ruins a bit the fun experience of the game. Well done! :)
Would appreciate if you could try & rate our game too! https://hadilepanda.itch.io/corewind
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you liked the simple graphics as well as the concept of my game!
I understand the lack of mid-air movement control. It's something that I definitely have to look at a little more carefully next time. I tried to design the map in a way that even if the player falls, he would still be able to find his way to go up again. I've also included some guidance arrows, but I guess it didn't work out as well as I planned!
EDIT: I played and reviewed your wonderful game! :)
The game looks good and sounds good to play, it controlled really well except for braking on landing after a jump and perhaps some movement in the air. Good job! :)
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed playing my game. Yeah other people also mentioned about movement in the air and mid-air controls. I will definitely look into this!
Nice simple graphics, I like black and white a lot. I also liked the tutorial sequence at the start, but maybe we can have a "skip" option once a player completes it. My other suggestions are to include coyote jump (off edge jumping) and as well as mid-air control. 😄
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you liked the art style of the game as well as the in game tutorial! Yeah the tutorial sequence can be a little annoying when you are playing the second time. I'll definitely add a "skip tutorial" option.
I will look into adding mid-air control and coyote jump definitely sounds interesting!
Really liked the art and gameplay on this one. The in game tutorial was well done too! Good job!
could you please play and rate my game as well?

I'm glad you liked the in game tutorials! I played and rated your game :)
Just saw. Thank you very much!
Had fun with it :) nice job
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I liked how you put the rewind Function to triple jump to places you couldn't! Great Job!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you liked the triple jump feature.
Really cute audio and graphics. Nice job!
Rate my game too or I sliceyour character into half :D
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed the audio and the graphics. I rated your game too ;)
Wow! That was really cool. I really like the look of the character and the options menu. The rewind system is cool. It is really well made. Good job!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed the look of the game as well as the mechanic!
It was fun. I could not get a triple jump to work, but i got a double down just fine.
Oops, I meant double jump in game and not triple jump. Haha. Players weren't supposed to do a triple jump.
Thanks for the feedback!
This is a really polished game and I really enjoyed the experience. This is a really strong base that you could build upon by adding more puzzles and mechanics. I think I may have encountered a bug where I reached the checkpoint but when I died I still had to play from the beginning which I'm not sure is intended behaviour. Overall a really great submission! I hope this feedback is helpful and you keep working on it after the jam
Thanks for the positive feedback!
My intentions were: if player falls from a platform, player gets teleported back to the spawn point, but if player dies to an enemy or a lava (red block), player is dead and the player has to start all over again. Regardless, some people already pointed out that starting all the way from the beginning was a little harsh so I'll probably re-think about the consequences of death next time.
Nice game, enjoyed it a lot :)
Thanks for the positive feedback :)
Very nice implementation of the theme. I'm not fan of permadeath, specially on a platform were you have a lot of chances of dying, but it's a nice way to make the player stay focus.
Good level design, really challenging!
Great job! Congratulations!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Other people also addressed the death issue, I'll consider a little more careful next time!
Now I'm ok... I manage to finished it! I had to go before and couldn't end the game. Now I'm in peace 😁
An interesting way to use rewind. As a platformer, it meshes well with the theme as you implemented it. Nice work!
Thanks for your positive feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed playing my game!
The controls are interesting. But the level design is a bit confusing.
Thanks for your positive feedback!
I'm glad you liked the controls! I'll look into level designing a little more carefully next time! I wanted to add multiple ways of defeating/completing the game, but I guess I made it a little too difficult. Haha
i didn't like the controls but the game was fun and challenging!
Thanks for your positive feedback!
I'll make sure to look into making smoother controls for the next game!
i didn't like the controls but the game was fun and challenging!
Really nice game with regards to graphics and sound. Level design was well thought out and a joy to play. Only irritations were the movement, didn't feel too smooth. Get stuck in place for a little bit after landing a jump, can't move mid-air. Just felt a bit clunky
Other than the movement, the game itself was great! Good job.
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you liked the graphics, sound as well as the level design!
I intentionally made the movement not so smooth I made the player not able to move after landing jump to prevent player to bunny hop (and I figured it's a little more realistic that way). I thought changing direction mid air would also break the level design that I've planned haha. But I'll make sure to look into making the movement smoother next time!
A nice game, and executed quite well.
The graphics and sound design is excellent. Using the inverted colours for the rewind looks great. I personally think the game might be a bit too punishing, reseting everything after being killed by an enemy is quite harsh. The quit button was also bugged out for me.
Overall a very fun game!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed the visual aspects of the game. For the most part, my intention was that player can only "die" (where everything gets reset) if you take the harder path. But I'll make sure to take a closer look on the difficulty of the game next time!
About the quit button, I'll make a change once the game jam is over haha...
a good game for different levels of ability. So even people like me who struggle with platformers can enjoy themselves
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I originally wanted to add more levels of difficulty but I was kind of running out of time. I'm glad you still enjoyed playing my game!
