In what way does your game fit the theme?
The player uses Lumi's abilities to light up his way, while defending her with his combat skills
" Hey Guys !
Quick comment to say that, in the rush of publishing the game, we forgot to disable Dashing and Double Jumping at the start.
If you want to experience the game as it was designed originally, we advise you NOT to use those abilities until you unlock them the proper way
Otherwise, if you're in for a quick test, then have fun messing around at full power, right from the start ^^ "
We HIGHLY encourage you to read our Itchio page, as it contains controls, and more informations on the state of the game ! :)
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We were a team of 5 people, we created all scripting and most assets ourselves

Heeeey, I loved the game, arts are very charming and the idea is great too. Great game! Well done <3
Thank you very much for your feedback, we are very grateful and glad that you enjoyed the game! We will continue to work on it to make it better! <3
Oh, I saw that one on discord during development and it already sparked my interest there.
Playing through it now, I really like the whole atmosphere and level design. I think it's understandable that this has more polish than a game developed by a single person, nevertheless great job team!
We really wanted to work as a team to train ourselves to work on a project with several people. I'm very glad you enjoyed the game.
I've tested your game which I find really fun.
Thanks again for your feedback
I imagine that'd be quite fun! I'd like try that some time, too.
don't hesitate to follow us, it would be interesting to work with people from different countries with different ways of working!
Nice game. it's stronger with his head. like RainCloud game that she is stronger with the fox.
Thank you for your feedback! I'll go play your game to see what similarities can be interesting!
O hey, you did a metroidvania for this jam too :D Pretty sweet!
You've nailed the atmosphere for this game. The graphics are super pretty and the audio is pretty haunting, which ties in well with the whole light theme. I can see that a lot of love and effort went into the aesthetic of this game, and I enjoyed exploring the nooks and cranny of the map.
I think the gameplay itself could be a lot more smoother, especially the combat system. There's a delay on the sword attack, which makes killing enemies awkward, and there isn't much visual cues or feedback for when the enemies attack. Dying should also not restart the whole game - it should put you at a checkpoint somewhere. I also wasn't sure of the point of launching Lumi other than grabbing an orb or breaking a wall, so I feel like more could have been done with that mechanic. Finally, this game needs an ending - it feels pretty unsatisfying going through the whole map and reaching that big room only for nothing to happen afterwards.
Overall, great game and beautiful world , making a metroidvania in a week is no easy feat. You guys should be proud.
Thanks for your answer and yes, we wanted to create a metroidvania too ahah!
Your feedback on the gameplay is consistent and we will work on improving it!
For the end of the game, we started to work on a boss but due to lack of time, we decided to put several different enemies for the moment.
Thanks a lot, I'm going to test your game too which looks very nice.
Loved the ambience of the game. Maybe there is a collider issue because the head got stuck between platforms during the playthrough. The level was designed very well and everything felt smooth!
Thank you very much for your reply ! indeed, we will correct any errors and bugs related to collisions. We're glad you enjoyed the ambience of Lumi!
Perfect! The character is lovely!I suggest adding a helping page showing basic operations.
thank you very much for the feedback! yes you are absolutely right, we thought about setting up a page dedicated to the different basic operations in the game, but due to the lack of time we could not integrate it
What a wonderful and beautiful game! The first time I played I did use the abilities haha but I played it again as per your advice. Really wonderful concept in a wonderful map. I know lighting is a huge part of the game, but It feels like such a shame to hide such a pretty world in complete darkness. Overall amazing game!
thank you for your comment and especially for your feedback on the light which is really interesting. We are thinking of reworking this concept and why not leave a few rooms in the light
Good job
This game was a ton of fun! It definitely feels like the base for a great metroidvania. My head got stuck in the wall at one point and I couldn't get it out. Even when I died and restarted I still couldn't get my head to go back on.
Please check out my game if you have a chance!
Thank you very much ! We'll look into that bug, did you try per chance to call it back (F/LB) ?
The character is super nice to look at, the movement feels fluid and battling enemies is nice, also the map in one of the images is appreciated in case you get lost. Perhaps the only criticism (which is not so serious) is to know how much life I have when enemies hit the head.
This is our game in case you want to play it, feedback is very welcome!

Thank you a lot ! I will check your game tomorrow!
I really liked the game design and sound effects (just a bit too loud). I just struggled against some walls but had fun overall. Great job on this one !
thank you a lot!
The art looks amazing, and the idea is really cool, but there are some parts that are a bit rough around the edges. Overall it's a good game.
thank you for your feedback, rest assured we will fix these bugs !
I like when you get hit instead of recieving damage you and Lumi separate and you have to get back together asap. The only problem I see here is that sometimes Lumi gets stuck in a wall or is too out of reach
Thank you for your feedback! This defect will be corrected thanks to you!
Hey !
First, I liked the idea of the throwable flame head as a projectile, but also as your -almost- only light source. Unfortunately, I ran into some bugs that'd get me into a softlock situation. :(
For example, my head would fall on the ground and just be stuck right there. If in a bad place, I really couldn't get it back.
I also had the head stuck into the ground, with no hope of getting it back. That's too bad, since I would have loved seeing more of the game. But globally, good job ! That's pretty nice for one week !
We are sorry for any bugs you may have encountered! We will fix it as soon as possible! Thank you very much for your feedback!
No problem ! A week is short. :) Feel free to check our submission as well !
(Forgot to post the screenshot of the bug, so here you are !)
ahahah ok I see!
I'll look at your project right now
I thought the visuals and audio were fantastic. Really some high quality stuff there. However, I had some issues with gameplay stuff. Not sure if it was only me with these issues, but the explosion ability almost always did nothing, and when I tried spamming it, it would launch Lumi in the direction I aimed, but would not break the wall I shot at, and sometimes Lumi would not go back on the skeleton's body after this. One time Lumi even got stuck under the ground and wouldn't come back to the body. Other than bugs, I felt the sword swings were pretty delayed, and it wasn't super clear when the enemies were being hit. I did like the aesthetic and the general atmosphere that was set up for the game. I felt that the placement of the level geometry was well thought out when it comes to a platformer. Sorry to be so critical, but I think you definitely have potential and this was a good effort.
Your honesty is very important for improving this game. Thank you very much for your very constructive feedback. Indeed, the faults you list here are present in the game: that's why we have to improve it, and that's thanks to you.
Nice idea. I love how light is effectively playing the role of the hp bar. Separating the head and the body looks cool. I managed to unlock dashing the legit way haha.
The game objective wasn't very clear though.
I'd appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well :)
Thank you for your feedback, we take note of your comment and we will work on it!
I loved this game. The controls were simple and when you unlocked new abilities, you were told the controls and were able to pick them up quickly. As soon as you got an ability, it had a use so that was some great level design. I loved the lighting and the music, that and the art tied it all together! What a great game, well done all of you! (Also liked the floating head and the magnet physics when the skeleton is near the head. The main menu looked really nice).
Thank you for your feedback, we are very touched! We are taking notes!
I like the idea and art style! if there is some background music it would be nicer. The head is cute ><
Thank you for your feedback! ^^
Cool concept!
